I heard the filming was made randomly, rendering the entire cast clueless of the plot, and editing is probably a similar kichdi with scenes from here and there.
Even though the filming was done in a non linear way the cast has the script. So from the story point of view they might have an idea on how much story is left if not the exact number of episodes of the drama. In SH review, Hassan called Siraj, the director of Tere Bin. I think the director told that because they aired 4 episodes in the previous weeks, the editing was like that in the present episodes.
