Astonishingly fast...two days before the news I had read in an article that he worked still where one had ordered him after his term as zonal director had finished.

I'm cutious what will be revealed šŸ˜‰

He has a govt job, power and position. What motivation does a person need to be ethical. It comes from within.

ā€œIt has been alleged that the said officials of the Narcotics Control Bureau of Mumbai Zone, in order to obtain undue advantage from the persons and others in the Case No. 94/2021… registered and investigated under the supervision of then Zonal Director of Mumbai Zone of NCB, had entered into criminal conspiracy with others and allegedly obtained undue advantage in the form of bribes from the alleged accusedā€¦ā€, PTI quoted CBI spokesperson as saying.

That is the whole FIR?! Sounds more like attempts by the rich and the powerful carrying out their personal vendetta to silence and smear those who dare to stand up against them.

As someone with no skin in the game, I can only hope for an impartial investigation and for Wankhede to come out of this ordeal with his reputation (tough-as-nails, no-nonsense officer who put his life on the line every day to protect communities from the scourge of drugs) intact.

I am sure he knows that these are the unfortunate real-life consequences of an honest hard-working officer who went after the drug mafia over the course of his career. With his track record of busting several narcotics labs and factories, dismantling suppliers and manufacturers, it stands to reason that his dedication made him a target for those who seek to undermine his efforts and protect their illegal operations. Doesn't help his case that he quarreled with high-ranking officials within his own department.

Unlike in movies where truth ultimately prevails and officers such as these emerge unscathed, in real life, it would be too much of an ask for slingshot-David (Wankhede) to overcome the Goliath like bhrashtachar.

FWIW, my best wishes to Wankhede.

In an BusinessToday-article, Mr Wankhede is quoted with:

"The former Narcotics Control Bureau officer Sameer Wankhede, who is accused of allegedly seeking Rs 25 crore bribe for not framing Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the drugs-on-cruise case, said that he was being punished for being a patriot.

ā€œThe CBI raided my residence yesterday and searched for more than 12 hours. They found Rs 18,000 and four property papers. These assets were acquired before I joined the service,ā€ Wankhede told India Today TV, adding, ā€œThis is the punishment for being a patriot.ā€

ā€œA team of six officers raided my father’s house in Andheri and found nothing. Another team of seven CBI officers also raided my in-laws. Both my in-laws are old,ā€ he said."

I would also like to know more about at whose behest and for what purpose one concentrates again on SRK and Aryan, this time with Wankhede & helpers as accused.

Strangely, I feel a bit uneasy with that...

I ask myself

if 25 Cr. found in CBI raids, what will happen?

will Wankhede surrender to the police and give a statement that he received that money from SRK/his manager and deliberately made a weak/poor statement of record, witnesses, possessions everything to make Aryan go scot free?

or

if there’s no money/property of worth 25cr. found in raids, but still he’s proved guilty means SRK joining BJP?

or

bas ye sab timepass hain?
