A near perfect game for Mumbai Indians and it coming at this stage of the season shows they are peaking at the right time. Rohit got some runs under his belt, SKY continued to soar, Vishnu Vinod made the most of his chance, Madhwal came out trumps with the new ball and Chawla provided the wickets in the middle overs. Gujarat Titans never got going in the chase. They lost three wickets in the powerplay and a couple more soon after, Miller and Tewatia steadied the procession but fell off consecutive deliveries. The game was almost done there but Rashid kept the crowd entertained with his 21-ball fifty and ensured that the margin of defeat was much lesser

Hardik Pandya: Felt like only Rashid Khan turned up from our team, batted and bowled incredibly well. We don't have to try much, as a group overall we weren't there in any department. Didn't have clear plans, bowlers didn't execute. I felt we gave 25 runs extra. We were far from winning this game but because of Rashid, we ensured there wasn't a big dent to our NRR. People have spoken enough about SKY, one of the best batters in T20 cricket. Really tough to set fields for him. You saw what can happen if you don't execute your plans.
