Ahh this one is an oldie but goodie- Johnny Horton. My dad had his songs on a reel to reel tape and we had no clue who the artist was (because as usual it was unlabelled 😒😆) it was years later my bro discovered Johnny. And now of course we have Shazam for all such mysteries 😆

I loved Joni Mitchell's songs even before I knew they were Joni Mitchell.. I heard 'Big yellow taxi' by Counting Crews when I watched Two weeks' notice (and the video was popular on MTV too) and heard 'Both Sides Now' covered by a lesser-known artist called Roger Whittaker and loved them both. I had never heard of Joni Mitchell until then. When I found she was the original songwriter, I dug up her albums & heard Joni's originals and have been a fan ever since.

Her voice! And her lyrics. ⭐️ (especially Both Sides now makes me tear up)

She is one of the best female singer-songwriters ever for me!
