I actually liked they they broke a cliche of SaiYa not getting close because of a button. They can kind of make him a "mould breaking" ML by writing him sanely while breaking so many other stereotypes.

They didn't need stupid excuses to come closer, they will have valid ones in future, but at the very same time, there is a physical attraction between them.
