The whole purpose of Mariyam prem Kahani was to push meerab-KMK out of their respective lala land!

And also where would he run looking for mariyam? He has no idea where he could have taken her ? It’s not like she was missing like meerab whom he would have searched around running , MZ had good hours head start before KMK knew and he could have even taken her out of Pakistan in mean time! He did first best thing call for sr Mallik as he had no much options as MZ wouldn’t have taken her to his usual places !
