Part 7

Sai and Satya were on duty at the hospital when they were informed of a patient who had attempted suicide. Upon arriving at the hospital room, they found a young woman unconscious and hooked up to machines, fighting for her life. Satya was visibly disturbed by the sight, yet again, feeling suffocated and helpless.

Sai noticed Satya's unease but attended the patient first, Satya walked away immediately. Sai and a few nurses did the needed and kept her for observation. Sai saw Satya sitting in his cabin staring blankly at nothing. Sai entered and sat infront of him. Without a word. Satya looked at her, his eyes filled with tears, and said, "Log aise kyun karte hai? Sai. Agar unhe kuch milta nahi hai toh apni zindagi khatam karne ka faisla kyu lete hain?" He shook his head in despair, "aur chahkar bhi hum inn logon ki madad nahi kar paate hain, kaise samjhaoun inn sabko ki khudkushi karne se kuch theek nahi hota, unka ek minute ka faisla unke apnon ke zindagi tod deti hain "

Sai listened calmly, from his past breakdowns she knew Satya had lost someone to suicide, she then said "Jaanti hoon Satya, lekin hamre liye jo galat lagta hai, kya pata unhe us waqt sahi lagta hai? kya pata unki zindagi mein aisa kuch hua ho joh unhe aise decision lene par majboor karti hai? Lekin, hum unko bachakar unko ek nayi zindagi toh de sakte haina?." She gave him a reassuring smile.

Satya sighed, "jinko hospital mein treatment ke liye le aate hain, unhe toh hum bachalenge Sai, lekin har baar toh nahi na?"

Sai looked at him with empathy, "Satya, lekin jo humse ho sakta hai, woh toh hum kar hi sakte haina? Ab chalo, Uss patient ko tum hi treat karoge, uska case history main batati hoon, aur uske uthne ke baad uski problem ke liye koi solution dhoondne ke liye hum koshish karenge."

Satya straight away nodded a no. Sai got up and pulled him to the patient's room, just then the patient suffered from fits, both Sai and Satya rushed to help and were able to revive her. Though Satya rushed to her as an instinct to help, he unknowingly overcame his fear of seeing and treating suicidal patients.

After a long day, Satya and Sai were sitting on a bench outside the hospital, taking a break from their duties. Satya was quiet and lost in thought, his eyes fixated on the ground.

Sai noticed his unease and asked, "Kya hua Satya? Tum theekh toh ho?"

Satya took a deep breath and looked up at Sai. "Mere andar ka dard bahut gehra hai Sai. Kabhi-kabhi toh mujhe lagta hai ki main isse seh nahi paunga," he said with a heavy heart.

Sai put a comforting hand on his shoulder and asked, "Kya hua tha Satya? Kya baat hai jo tumhe itna pareshan kar rahi hai?"

Satya looked at Sai and his eyes filled with tears. "Girija...," he whispered, "Girija meri zindagi thi Sai. Wo meri sabse achchi dost, meri saathi thi. Hamne pyaar kiya tha aur 3 saal se hum shaadi karna chahte the. Lekin uske maa-baap humare rishte ke khilaaf the."

Sai looked at Satya with concern and asked, "Phir kya hua Satya?"

Satya took a deep breath and continued, "Girija ne khudkushi kar li Sai. Us din se mera zindagi khatam ho gaya. Mujhe lagta hai ki main kabhi khush nahi ho paunga. Uske bina main adhoora hoon. aur isliye mujhe yeh suicide cases se bohot dar lagta hai, girija ki yaad dilati hai. aur mere dil mein sabse bada dard toh yeh hai ki main usse aakhri baar nahi dekh paya. aaj bhi yaad hai mujhe woh pal, girija uske parivaar ke saamne, mere saamne, apni jaan se lad rahi thi, itni dard mein thi, lekin uski parivaar itni ghatiya thi, bas unki beti ko marte hue dekhte jaa rahe the. uss pal mein bhi usne mere haaton ko thaamne ki koshish ki, lekin, lekin" Satya choked

Sai placed her hand on his shoulders to comfort him. "kisi ne mere sar par zor se maara, aur mein behosh ho gaya, uss halat mein bhi girija ne mujhe pakadne ki koshish ki jab woh khud mar rahi thi." Satya ended with a sigh. Sai already was in tears. This man who she thought was a clown in the beginning had been through so much. It was probably right, those who smile the most have the loneliest hearts and never-ending tears. They sat there for a while in silence, Sai had her hands in Satya's, and that warmth relaxed Satya. They were doctors, seeing death was inevitable, but they were also human beings, seeing their loved ones die was equally traumatizing.

They left soon as Sai had to pick up the kids, she was already late. Sai was worried sick when she got a call from the school that her children were picked up early by someone who claimed to be their father. She immediately called Virat, but all her calls went unanswered. Panic gripped her as she rushed to the school, hoping that her kids were safe. Upon reaching the school, she found out that it was indeed Virat who had taken the kids. She tried calling him again, but he continued to ignore her calls. Sai felt helpless, not knowing what to do next. She instinctively called Satya for help.

--------------------------------------------

Virat sat in front of his kids, trying to convince them that he and Sai should get married. "Baada, aap dono ko pata hai na, ki main aur Sai aai kabhi alag nahi hue the. Bas ek choti si ladai ho gayi thi, lekin ab main aur Sai mamma phir se saath hona chahte hain. Tum dono ko ek happy family chahiye na?"

The kids looked at Virat with confusion. "Par baba, aai ne kaha na, ki hum 2 alag family mein rahenge, aap Pakhi mumma ke saath aur hum dono aai ke saath." Vinu asked

Virat tried to convince them further, "Haan baada, lekin aapki Sai aai bhi toh aapki aai hi hai. Aur main bhi toh tumhara baba hoon. Hum sab saath reh sakte hain na. kab tak hum aise milte rahenge. Agar hum sab saath rehenge toh aise milne ki zaroorat nahi hogi. Aap dono hum dono se pyaar karte hai na?"

Vinu replied, "Baba, hum aapse pyaar karte hain, lekin aai ne mujhe aur Savi ko samjhaya hai ki hum chaaron ek saath ek ghar mein nahi reh sakte."

"Aur Vinu dada, aai nahi jaanti hai ki hum yaha baba ke saath hain, aai pareshaan ho jayegi dada"

Virat sighed, knowing he was getting nowhere. He replied, "Baada, dekho aapki Sai aai aur main kuch din mein ek dusre se shaadi karenge, aap itne lucky ho, aap apne aai baaba ke shaadi hote hue dekh sakte hain."

The kids remained silent, not wanting to engage with Virat any further. They just wanted to get back with their mother, and nothing would change that.

"Aur, Baccho, tumhari aai abhi thodi gusse mein hain. Isiliye main tum dono se baat kar raha hoon. Lekin don't worry, main use samjha doonga. Aur woh bhi jaldi samjh jayegi."

"Lekin papa, abhi toh aapki shaadi Pakhi mumma se hai na? To phir aap aai se shaadi kaise kar sakte hain?"

"Beta, aisi baatein badi ho kar samajh mein aati hai. Aapke baba aur aai ek doosre se bahut pyar karte the, lekin kuch gadbad ho gayi thi. Ek kaam karte hain, main yeh bhi soch raha tha ki aaj tum dono mere saath ghar chale jaao aur hum saath mein baat karenge. Shaayad aapki aai ko bhi samajh mein aa jaye ki humein shaadi karni chahiye. Tum log ready ho?"

"Nahi, hum nahi chalenge." Savi said angrily

As Virat gets more frustrated with the kids' refusal, he stands up abruptly and slams his fist on the table. The kids shrink back in fear as Virat glares at them.

"theek hai, tum logon ko apne aai ke paad hi rehna haina? toh jao."

With that, Virat throws some money on the table and storms out of the cafe, leaving the kids behind. They sit there in stunned silence, not sure how to process everything they just heard. The whole cafe saw the scene and were disgusted with Virat.

A kind man came forward, noticed the kids looking upset and approached them, "Are you two okay?" he asked. The kids explained their situation to him and he offered to help. He took their phone and called Sai, explaining the situation to her. Sai who searched every existing place closer to school with Satya was finally relieved after the call. They immediately agreed to pick up the kids and thanked the man for his kindness.

After a few minutes, Sai arrived at the cafe and hugged the kids, relieved to see them safe. The man explained the situation to her and Sai thanked him again before taking the kids home. Sai and Satya were beyond disgusted with what Virat had spoken to the kids and how abruptly he had left. Satya dropped the three at their place and asked Sai to take care of them. He knew the kids needed Sai the most now.

Sai comforted the kids and assured them that everything would be alright. As they were going back to their home, the kids kept holding onto Sai's hand tightly, still scared from the earlier encounter. Sai felt her heart aching for the kids, knowing that they were going through a tough time. She decided to talk to Virat about his behavior and try to come up with a solution that would be best for everyone involved.

As they reached home, Sai made some hot chocolate for the kids and they sat down to watch their favorite cartoon. Sai couldn't help but think about how much the kids needed stability and love in their lives, and she was determined to do everything in her power to make sure they got it.

Virat sat in his car, his mind racing with regret. He knew he shouldn't have left the kids alone in the cafe in anger. He had let his frustration get the best of him, and now he was paying the price for it. As he drove aimlessly around the city, he couldn't shake off the guilt that was consuming him. He had always been a firm believer in the importance of family, and he knew that his actions today had jeopardized that. He wanted to get back with Sai, but he soon realized that he shouldn't have left the cafe and went back in, to see Vinu and Savi hugging Satya tightly, Sai looked at Satya with tears and assured her through his eyes. He felt betrayed and left.

-------------------------------------------

Sai was beyond angered by the incident. Just then, she received a text from Virat asking her to meet at a marketplace the next day, and Sai decided to go to question him. She had had enough of that man.

As Sai reached the marketplace, she saw Virat waiting for her. Sai looked furious, like a lioness who was ready to pounce. Virat tried to explain himself, saying that he lost control of his emotions and didn't mean to scare the kids. But Sai was not ready to listen to his excuses.

"Virat, tum mujhse bataye bina, mujhse permission liye bina bacchon ko kaise leke jaa sakte ho?," she said, her voice rising. "Aur kya soch kya rahe the? Tumhari aur meri shaadi ke liye unhe manane ki koshish kar rahe the? Tumhari ek biwi hai Virat! Pakhi ke baare mein bhool gaye ho?"

Virat looked down, ashamed of his actions. "Jaanta hoon, Sai. Lekin main... nahi jee sakta tum teeno ke bagair, mujhe apna parivaar chahiye."

"Tumne jis tarah se mere bacchon ko kal daraya hai, uske liye main tumhe kabhi maaf nahi karoongi, aur ainda se mere bacchon se milne se pehle agar tumne mujhse permission nahi li, toh yaad rakhna dcp sahab, main commissioner se khud jaake tumhare saari crimes ke baare mein complain karungi. Tumse main bas itna hi kehna chah rahi thi, aur meine keh diya, tumhare bakwaas sunne nahi aayi hoon. Aur haan MR. Virat Chavan, mere saath apni shaadi ka sapna banana chod hi do, main mar jaaungi lekin tumse kabhi shaadi nahi karoongi. Kyunki tum us aukaad ke ho hi nahi, tum na hi mere pyaar ki layak ho, na mere bacchon ki, aur jo raita tumne phailaya hai, use tum hi sametoge, mere bacche ab tumse darte hain, door rehna unse, kuch din ke liye humare ghar ke aas paas bhi nazar mat aana."

Virat was getting frustrated with what Sai said. He grabbed her hand tightly and accused her of taking away Savi and Vinayak from him.

"Sai, woh mere bacche hain, tum hoti kon ho mujhe unse door rakhne waali?," Virat yelled at her.

Sai pulled her hand away from his grip and looked at him angrily. "Apne bacchon ko ek anjaan jagah mein akela chodke konsa baap jaata hai? Kaisa baap ho tum? Aur konsa haq jata rahe ho?" she retorted.

Sai tried to pull her hand away from Virat's grip, but he tightened it, making her wince in pain. "Virat, chodo. You're hurting me," she pleaded with him.

Virat's eyes blazed with anger and frustration as he accused Sai of brainwashing Savi and Vinu. "tumne hi bataya na, bacchon ko ki hum hum 4 saath mein kabhi nahi reh sakte, aur na jaane kitni baar kaha hoga tumne, un dono ke dil mein mere liya pyaar hi nahi hai, yeh sab tumhare wajah se ho raha Sai, lekin tumhari yeh saari harkatoon ko maaf karke main tumse dobara shaadi karna chahta hoon aur tum mujhe aukaaad ke baare mein bol rahi ho?," he spat out.

Sai's eyes widened in shock at Virat's words, but he was beyond reason. He pulled her closer to him, his grip on her hand still tight, and glared at her. "Tum mere bacchon ko kahi nahi leke jaa sakti ho, aur aise main hone nahi doonga, tum sirf meri ho, sirf meri," he says, his voice low and dangerous.

Sai's heart raced in fear as she struggled to free her hand from Virat's grip. She knew she needed to get away from him, but she also knew that he wouldn't let her go easily. Suddenly, Virat felt a sharp pain in his cheek, a burning sensation, and before he could recover, his other cheek felt the same. He looked straight to see the cause of the pain, and he saw a lady in her 50s. It took him a while to recognize the very similar face.

It was Amba Bai Adhikari. She had been noticing Virat screaming at Sai while she was shopping. She knew Sai was Virat's colleague, as they had met at the same place previously. "Tameez nahi kya? koi ek ladki se aise baat karta hai?"

Virat was even more angered, "woh meri biwi hai"

"accha, biwi hai toh aise baat karega tu? saala, teri poori kahani jaanti hu main, tu dcp hai iska yeh matlab nahi ki tu kuch bhi kar sakta hai, pehle toh tujhe jail jaana hai. tu ruk" Amba said while trying to dial the police. Virat threw her phone, but little did he know that someone among the crowd had already done the honors. Sai stood shaken by what happened. Satya was her good friend, and probably Amba knew about her personal life, but unlike others, she stood up for her amongst a crowd unbothered by its consequences. Sai pulled herself up and stood strong. Virat's face turned red with anger as he realized that he had lost control over the situation. He never thought that she would get the support of the public. He tried to calm himself down, but the anger was too much to bear.

"Tum khudh ko bohot smart samajhti ho, hai na? Lekin main tumhe bata doon, Sai, tumhe pata bhi nahi hai tumne kya kiya hai. Main koi aam insaan nahi hoon jiske saath tum aise kar sakti ho," Virat said, his voice shaking with rage. Sai, however, was not intimidated. She stood her ground and replied, "Main tujhse nahi darti, Virat. Tu chahe jo bhi ho sakta hai, lekin tu mujhe aur mere bachchon ko nahi rok sakta. Tujhe samajhna hoga ki tere kaam ke parinaam hote hain aur tu hamesha humare bachchon ko apni marzi se nahi le jaa sakta."

-----------------------------------------

Before the police could arrive, Virat had already fled from the scene. Amba stayed with Sai to console her and helped her to reach home safely. Sai, feeling overwhelmed, collapsed onto the floor and began to cry. "kyun? kyun? hamesha mere saath aur mere bacchon ke saath hi galat hota hai?" she screamed in frustration. Amba calmly rubbed her back and sat beside her, comforting her. Sai eventually realized that she had been crying for a long time, yet Amba had not left her side. She apologized and wiped away her tears, noticing that Amba's saree was wet from her tears. Sai got up to get tissues, but Amba stopped her and insisted that they both sit on the sofa.

Amba slowly asked, "woh aadmi tujhse aise kyun baat kar raha tha?" Sai felt a flood of emotions rush through her and voluntarily began to tell her story, from the time when Jagtap was a jerk, to the loss of her father, to her marriage with Virat, to Pakhi's jealousy of their relationship, and to Virat's unavailability when she needed him the most. She continued on to discuss the surrogacy, separation, and everything that had happened to her until now. Sai felt lighter after sharing her story, and Amba patiently listened and empathized with her. Amba explained how similar her own life was to Sai's, and they discussed their respective difficult times. Amba was one of the first people to address the fact that Virat had always been a sore loser, from being a son, to a police officer, to a husband, and now a father.

Amba's journey and words motivated Sai, despite Amba's soft demeanor, she had a strong heart and character. Sai eventually dozed off on Amba's lap, feeling for the first time in ages that someone understood and cared for her. She was grateful for the moment.

Thank you so much for your love. Hope yall enjoy this one too. Feel free to comment on how you feel; your comments and feedback mean a lot. Thank you!!

This is the Amba Sai relationship we want to see, not the ridiculousness that we were given. It didn't make sense to me that Amba would not be understanding of Sai's plight, they really are bent on ruining any good character.

And VC ka ky ahi bolon . That man is such a horrible excuse of a human being. He just left his kids in a cafe surrounded by strangers after taking them out to manipulate them. Bigamist jo banna hai 'DCP' ko.

Poor Satya having to deal with all those old wounds

But Sai really should register a police complaint at least on VC ,get a restraining order or something. He's going around calling her his wife (even though he's married to P) and basically harassing her. What a horrible situation.

Your story is so well written and captures the characters wonderfully 🤗💗💓

Part 8

Sai had dozed off on Amba's lap when Vinu and Savi returned from school. They saw the injuries on Sai's hands and asked what had happened. Amba accidentally blurted out that Virat had caused them, and Sai gently placed a finger on Amba's lips, indicating for her to stop. Vinu and Savi quickly understood.

"Aai, baba aise kyun ho gaye?" Vinu asked, worriedly.

"Baba, kuch logon ke liye kuch cheezein unke tareeke se nahi hoti, toh woh aise ho jaate hain," Sai said, worriedly.

Savi saw the red handprints on Sai's shoulder and caressed them softly.

"Aapne unhe roka kyun nahi, Aai?" she asked.

"Aapki Aai ne rokne ki bohot koshish ki, lekin woh aadmi kuch sun hi nahi raha tha," Amba said, angrily.

Savi looked at Sai sadly. Vinu looked at Sai and said, "Toh phir aapne bhi aise kyun nahi kiya?"

Sai sat down with Vinu and Savi and calmly explained to them the importance of saying no and respecting other people's decisions. She began, "Tumhe pata hai, jab koi haan nahi kehta hai, toh humein unko force nahi karna chahiye. Yeh bahut important hai."

She continued, "Jaise kal market mein Virat ne mere saath kiya tha. Mere na kehne ke baad bhi, lekin Virat ne forcefully mere haath pakda tha. Yeh bilkul galat hai. Har kisi ka decision respect karna chahiye."

Sai emphasized the importance of saying no and not feeling guilty about it. She said, "Agar humein koi force karta hai, toh humein usse bahut strict ho kar kehna chahiye ki hum uski yeh baat nahi maanenge." Vinu and Savi listened to Sai carefully and nodded in agreement. They understood the importance of respecting others' decisions and not forcing anyone after they say no.

As the car pulled into the driveway of Amba's house, she could sense the tension in Sai and the kids. She knew they needed to relax and forget about the stressful events of the day. So, she lightened up the situation by cracking jokes and making small talk with the kids. Vinu and Savi started laughing and playing along with Amba's silly jokes, forgetting their worries for a moment.

Amba proudly introduced Sai and the kids to her vahini, Gauri, and Madhura. They welcomed them warmly and hugged the kids affectionately. Vinu and Savi were excited to see a new place and were happy to be pampered by the Adhikaris. As they settled down in the living room, Gauri brought out some snacks and drinks for them to enjoy. Amba sat beside Sai and started chatting with her about her life and experiences. Gauri and Madhura kept the kids entertained with their funny stories and games.

Sai felt a sense of warmth and comfort in this new place. She could see that Amba's family was kind and caring, just like her. She felt grateful for the Adhikaris' hospitality and hoped to repay them someday. For now, she just wanted to relax and enjoy the company of the new people. Satya soon joined in, resulting in a night full of laughter and madness.

----------------------------

Virat sat down on his bed, reflecting on the events of the day, when he got a call from the commissioner. After Virat's public misbehavior toward Sai, he was immediately suspended from his job. As the investigation proceeded, it became apparent that Virat had a history of extreme aggression and wild behavior, and it was decided that he needed to take a medical break and attend counseling sessions to address his issues. During these sessions, Virat revealed that he had been involved in backing up Pakhi's criminal activities, which only added to his troubles.

The revelations about his involvement in criminal activities not only shocked everyone but also resulted in his being relieved of his job. This news was a huge blow to Virat, who was already depressed and struggling to cope with the consequences of his actions. It was one last wake-up call for him to realize the gravity of his mistakes and how they had affected the lives of those around him.

Meanwhile, Sai and her children were slowly getting back to their normal routines and adjusting to their new life with Amba and her family. They were grateful for the love and warmth they received from the Adhikaris, who made them feel at home. Vinu and Savi were pampered by everyone and soon became fond of their new family. On Amba's insistence, Sai and the kids stayed with them every weekend. On one such weekend, Sai sat at the dining table having her breakfast when Satya entered the room. He seemed to have some news to share with her.

"Kya hua, Satya? Kuch important baat hai?" Sai asked, noticing the serious look on his face.

"Haan, Sai. Woh Virat ka case. Pata chala hai ki woh Pakhi ke kuch illegal kaam mein Virat ne uska saath diya tha. Abhi usko job se suspend kar diya gaya hai," Satya informed her.

Sai was shocked to hear this news. It was hard to believe that the person she had once loved so deeply could stoop so low.

"Par kya hoga ab uska?" Sai asked, worried about Virat's future.

"Usko medical leave pe rakha gaya hai aur usse counseling sessions attend karne ke liye bola hai. Par uske baad bhi kuch faida nahi hoga. Usko job se nikal diya gaya hai," Satya replied.

Sai felt a sense of sadness and disappointment for Virat. But at the same time, she knew she needed to move on from her past with him.

"Satya, main toh woh sab bhool chuki hu. Ab mera focus mere bachchon pe hai. Aur waise bhi, uske liye mere dil mein koi jagah nahi bacha hai," Sai said sadly.

Satya looked at her intently and said, "Main samjh sakta hoon Sai, aur waise bhi woh tumhara pehla pyaar raha hai, usse bhulana itna asaan nahi hoga."

Sai was taken aback by Satya's words. She knew that Satya had always been supportive of her and her decisions, but she never expected him to say something like this.

"Satya, aisa kuch nahi hai. tumhe lagta hai ki main abhi bhi uss insaan se pyaar karti hoon? Main khush hu apne bachchon ke saath aur mere liye ab Virat ka koi mayne nahi rakhta," Sai tried to explain.

"Main tumhe jaanta hu, Sai. Lekin tumhe bura nahi laga jab tumhe pata chala ki Virat ki job chali gayi?," Satya said with a straight face.

Sai was taken aback by Satya's words. How could he possibly know what she was feeling? She had been so careful to keep her emotions hidden from everyone. But Satya, always had a way of reading people, of sensing their emotions, even when they didn't want him to. Sai looked at Satya with a mix of surprise and admiration. "Kaise kar lete ho tum ye sab?" she asked, genuinely curious. Satya smiled. "Bas aise hi pata chal jata hai."Sai couldn't help but smile back. Satya had always been a good friend to her, always there to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. She felt lucky to have him in her life.

"Lekin Satya, mere dil mein Virat ke liye pyaar nahi raha, bas dard bacha hai ki maine apne aadhi zindagi ek galat insaan ke saath bitayi hai. Aur abhi mujhe bura sirf isliye laga kyunki, ek waqt tha jab woh apne kaam ko bade acche se kar leta tha, IPS officer bankar usne kahi saare missions successfully kare hain" she said, trying to explain herself.

Satya looked at her with a knowing expression.

"Ajeeb haina, insaan waqt ke saath saath kitna badal jaate hain? Jis Virat se meri shaadi hui thi, aur ab jo Virat hai, un dono mein kitna faraq hai, pata hai, main kabhi kabhi sochti hoon, agar uss din mere aaba bach jaate toh kitni acchi hui hoti, main unke saath apne sapna poora karti, apni zindagi ko apni tareeqe se jeete, Virat aur meri shaadi kabhi hui hi nahi hogi" Sai said sadly

"Jo ho chuka hai, usko hum badal nahi sakte, uss bure rishte se hi sahi, Vinu aur Savi mile hain, kitne pyaare hain woh dono" Satya said, giggling.

"Haan toh, mera khoon hai, mere jaise hi honge na" Sai replied with a quirky smile

"Bohot accha lagta hai Sai, tum itni strong ho, uss rishte ko chod ke akele hi tumne sab kuch sambhali hai, mujhe garv hai Sai" Satya said proudly

"Main akele kahan thi, mere aaba hamesha mere saath hai, hamesha, aur Savi ke waqt Usha mausi mere saath thi, ab tum aur tumhara poora parivaar hai na mere saath" She acknowledged how Amba and family have been taking care of her and her kids without judging them one bit.

"Mera chodo, tum batao, shaadi kab karoge?" Sai asked Satya naughtily

Satya had by now understood that Amba had been sharing her worries with Sai. "Sai tum jaanti ho, main Girija ko bhulakar kisi aur ko uski jagah nahi de sakta, aai kabhi samajhti hi nahi hai"

"Lekin kab tak Satya? tumhari aai galat bhi toh nahi hai, woh chahti hain ki tum khush raho"

"Lekin mujhse nahi ho raha hai Sai, bohot koshish ki hai maine, usse bhulane ki nahi, lekin kisi aur ko apnane ki, yeh sab mujhse nahi hoga," Satya said irritatedly and left.

------------------------------------------------

A few weeks later

As per Amba's orders, it was mandatory for Sai and the kids to stay at their place for the weekends. Days flew when they stayed with them, Savi and Vinu felt at home with them, and Satya and the kids even slept together. Sai was content with her life, away from toxic people, she felt normal after ages, she smiled more, she had returned to her old naughty self, and she felt amazing about it. What saddened her was how the Adhikari ladies made everyone around them very happy but were all concerned about Satya. Sai thought it was her luck to help them out.

It was a Friday evening, and as per Sai's plan, Madhura picked up the kids and took them to the Adhikari house. Sai and Satya finished their shifts and were getting back home, on his bike. On the way, she saw a lake and asked him to stop there, Satya stopped. Sai moved forward towards the lake, while Satya joined her soon after getting her favorite cotton candy.

They sat on the bench and chit-chatted about a few things. Sai took out a small box from her bag, which contained a few pictures of Girija and some of her belongings. Satya looked on with a mixture of curiosity and sadness. He asked Sai about the box, and she explained that she had found it during her stay at his house. Satya's eyes glistened with tears as he took out a small photo of Girija and looked at it closely.

As he held the photo in his hands, Satya began to talk about the happy moments he had shared with Girija. He talked about how she used to love cooking for him and how she always managed to bring a smile to his face, even during the toughest of times. As he spoke, Satya's voice choked with emotion, and he started crying.

Sai understood Satya's pain and comforted him. She explained that it was important for him to give closure to Girija and to let her go. She encouraged him to hold onto the happy memories and to cherish them, but also to acknowledge the pain and sadness that came with the loss.

Satya nodded slowly, he knew he was in denial, and the fact that he couldn't see her in her last moments made it worse for him to get over her. He gave a sad smile and went on to explain. Together, they went through the box and reminisced about Girija's life. As they looked at the photos and belongings, Satya slowly began to feel a sense of peace wash over him. A strange peace that he has never felt while thinking of her. Sai knew her plan worked, though not fully, but it began its job. After an hour of talking, they got up to leave.

Satya stopped her, "Thank you, Sai" he said, and leaned forward, but stopped and took his steps backward. Sai understood what he meant, she leaned in and hugged him tightly.

"Jis tarah tumne hamesha mera saath diya hai, main bhi hamesha tumhara haath nahi chodungi" She reassured him. Satya hugged her back, that moment of vulnerability in front of her soothed him. Tears fell off his eyes but it also gave him peace. They stood like that for minutes until Satya realized Sai was standing on her toes to match his height. He broke the hug while Sai stood properly and relaxed. "Kitne lambe ho tum" They burst out laughing.

------------------------------

After a month or so

"Sai, Sai, Sai" Amba barged into Sai's house at 7 pm that night. Sai who had just taken a shower saw her and warmly welcomed her "Aai, kya baat hai, apko mere ghar ka rasta pata hai"

"aajiiiii" screamed the kids and ran to her throwing their arms around her.

"kya hua aai? aap itni khush lag rahi hai?"

"aur nahi toh kya baada? aaj maine shaadi ke baare mein Satya se baat ki, aur usne kuch nahi kaha"

"arre issme khusi ki kya baat hai aai, woh abhi bhi kuch keh nahi raha hai"

"lekin usne na nahi bola na? har baar iske baare mein baat hoti hai, toh woh chid jaata hai, aur aaj woh meri baat ko sun raha tha, bina kuch kahe, ek do baar aur baat karun toh mujhe lagta hai ki woh maan jaayega"

Sai felt the happiest, Satya had finally given closure to Girija. She smiled happily at her 'Amba aai'. Amba deserved to be called Aai for her kindest and strongest nature. Sai had never seen her mother, but while growing up, she always wished she had. But her aaba was no less; he played both roles so well that it hit her hard only after his demise. She later called Ashwini her 'aai," but she could never do justice to the word. But for Amba, Sai on her own called her aai. She felt very awkward to even ask, but Amba warmly said yes. It had already been a year since they had known each other.

Amba sat with Sai and showed her pictures of various girls, saying, "See, Sai, this girl is an engineer, and this one is a doctor, and this one is a lawyer. All of them are well-educated, and I am sure they would make great partners for Satya." Sai was enthusiastic at first, looking at the pictures and listening to Amba's descriptions. But as she went on, a sense of unease started to grow within her.

Sai knew that Satya deserved to be happy and find someone who would love him, but the thought of him with another woman made her feel strange. She couldn't quite put her finger on what the feeling was, but it made her uncomfortable. As Amba continued to show her the pictures, Sai's face fell, and she began to feel a sense of jealousy. She wondered why she was feeling this way, as she knew that she and Satya were just friends. Trying to shake off her strange feelings, Sai excused herself from the room, saying that she needed some fresh air. She went outside and sat on the porch, looking up at the stars. As she sat there, she tried to sort out her feelings and figure out why she was feeling jealous. Amba noticed every bit of her body language, she smiled and continued playing with Vinu and Savi.

-----------------------------------------------

As Sai was lost in her thoughts, she collided with someone and stumbled forward. A pair of strong arms caught her before she fell. As she looked up, she saw Satya standing in front of her, with his deep brown eyes and sharp features. Sai was awestruck for a moment, his handsome face taking her by surprise. She hadn't really noticed him before, but now she couldn't help but stare at him.

Satya's tall and muscular build gave him a commanding presence, and his well-groomed beard added to his attractive appearance. Sai couldn't help but feel a flutter in her heart as she looked up at him. She quickly composed herself and thanked him for catching her.

Satya flashed her a smile and asked if she was okay. Sai nodded and stammered out a thank you. As they both went their separate ways, Sai couldn't help but think about Satya's charming features. She tried to shake off the feeling, but she couldn't help the smile that crept onto her face. She was surprised at how much she had been affected by him these days. She had always seen him as a friend, but now she found herself thinking about him in a different light. She was confused about her feelings, and she didn't know what to do. She shrugged them off and began working.

------

Satya was walking towards the hospital entrance, lost in his thoughts, when he felt a sudden impact on his arm. He turned to see who it was and found Sai, her eyes wide open in surprise. As he looked into her eyes, he felt something strange, a connection he couldn't explain.

He couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked, even in her confused state. Her long hair was neatly tied in a bun, and she wore a simple yet elegant salwar kameez. He had never seen someone look so effortlessly gorgeous.

As he helped her to her feet, he felt a strange feeling in his chest. He tried to push the feeling away, but it persisted. He couldn't understand why he was feeling this way, but he couldn't deny that he was attracted to her.

As they walked towards the hospital entrance, he couldn't help but steal glances at her. He found himself wanting to know more about her, to spend time with her, and to understand the strange feeling that he was experiencing.

------------------

As Sai and Satya walked together after, they both felt a strange warmth inside them. They couldn't stop thinking about the little moments they had shared with each other.

Sai remembered how Satya always made sure she had her favorite tea ready for her whenever she visited the hospital. She blushed, thinking about how thoughtful he was.

Meanwhile, Satya thought about how Sai would always make sure he had a fresh flower on his desk, just the way he liked it. He felt a sudden rush of warmth in his chest, realizing how much he appreciated her little gestures.

As they walked, they both caught each other's glances, feeling a sense of familiarity and comfort. They both felt like they were on the same wavelength, and it made them smile.

Sai couldn't help but think about how Satya's eyes sparkled when he talked about his work and his passions. She found it incredibly attractive and couldn't deny the pull she felt towards him.

Satya, on the other hand, found himself mesmerized by Sai's laugh; it was like music to his ears. He also couldn't help but admire the way she carried herself with grace and confidence.

As they continued to walk, they both felt guilty yet good about it; it was sure to stay with them alone. Rubbing their thoughts aside, they continued to walk together when they saw someone staring at them. Sai stood frozen in her tracks. Satya looked on.
