To tell the truth I know is it stupid not to tell the father about their child, but if your husband threw you out of the house because they can't tolerate to live with you or look at you. You'd probably be afraid of him taking away your child. And if the husband is rich and powerful you'd be more afraid of losing. Murtasim isn't like that, but she could still be afraid of him doing that. Or it could be that she feel to shameful to face him again and tell him about the child. Afraid if he says something awful she would break. Humans are emotional beings and therefore not always logical.
