Because it all stems from the rejection of the call which means rejecting her and their baby. You "moved on" raising Roohi and being with Aorhi. While I was struggling with Abhir. But see the only flaw in Akshu’s argument is that he did not know so he has been in some ways punished already by not having 6 years with his own child. Today he just found out he has a kid.

Agree Grace - we know why they dragged it . And it’s diluting the effect and the intensity. And I think they are not done yet - they will drag some more until the (not so) secret is out to everyone.

Akshu was worried about Abhi finding the truth because she’s afraid he will take him from her/them. Even two days back she was worried about it because she was worried he will take Abhir from her if he knew.

So it was odd that she openly challenged Abhi with the “ Abhir ki maa hone nhi degi” comment. Bravado?

I don’t understand how she can swing ( in two episodes) from being so terrified Abhi will take the baby away to now telling him openly she will contest it if he tried to be Abhir’s papa over Nav.

Both of them are going to do stupid things now!

Could some of the dialogues be better? Maybe some outwardly showing of regret? Sure, but this is just the beginning. It will take time for both of them to settle down and reflect back on this confrontation. At least they are talking. And pre-cap hints more chances of these two facing each other. Before they were avoiding now they must face each other. It will help them both work through their feelings, regrets, anger, etc. This is much needed.

Abhi actually let her talk and say her piece. He wanted to understand why.

They had an actual conversation about the situation. There was not one way yelling and no one was throwing things and making the other one scared or uncomfortable.

The last 2 things to me is an improvement, especially coming from Abhi's side.

Remember when the forum was up on arms about Akshu going back to Udaipur for Arohi when she got electric shock. We were like she didn't want to go and was actually terrified and suddenly she was like I maybe should go. And then Arohi woke up and trip cancelled and then she was back to square one oh, I don't want to go even for Mimi's birthday. But then later she was like for Abhir I will go and no one can stop me.

I find besides the crap writing that Akshu always delays to the very end until she has no choice to confront something. Then once she has to face it she has no choice and will do what she needs to do. Also she has the added confidence she needs to go to the US so nothing will stop her from going.

Also, I feel she thinks those 6 years of humara beta and Abhinav is your father repeated daily by Akshu will some how erase the truth of the situation.

People here bullshit about genetic relationships with utter unscientific and non-sociological crap to justify a cringe and toxic ship as if biological parents cannot be absolute pieces of shit (all the while bashing Manjari and Harsh unironically).

Naturally the child develops the strongest bond with whoever nurses them primarily. In most cases; a mother, but can be a wet nurse, guardian, step mother/father, sibling too. It's called the parent-child dyad.

A child would not develop a stronger bond with an estranged parent than the one who raised them lol
