This reminds of a lie I said in school. Ah those were the days. Toh hua yu ki my school is basically inside the Naval Base here and it's on an island connected to the mainland by a bridge.

I got home late one evening after school, we lost track of time post our classes at got back around two hours late. Our school didn't permit the use of mobile phones inside the campus so parents had like no way of getting a hold of us.

My pitaji was super pissed, rightly so, given how great my sense of direction is. So once I was home, he asked as to what happened and why I was this late.

I looked him straight in the eye and told him ki bridge band tha, so was stuck in traffic. Ab I didn't think he'd ask follow up questions but he did and that's when I had the brilliant idea of telling him ki bridge pe traffic tha because a tree fell and caused a full blockade.

I forgot that my story had two loopholes :

1. A tree fell in the middle of the bridge

2. My sister, who goes to the same school, was home on time and sleeping upstairs.

Dad just looked at me with this look of sheer horror as though he finally realised he was raising an idiot 🤣

Aaj bhi he's like, you chose to use a tree as your excuse, you dimwit? 😆

I'm someone who cries when they are feeling overly emotional. Be it anger or sadness . Mere aasu aa hi jate hai 😆

I think I cried sometime last week watch a YouTube video. Don't remember kya dekha tha but it was definitely something emotional.
