@ Bold : this is exactly what I was thinking while watching him, it felt a ahollow representation of pre-shruthi virat. Was V a perfect person back then? NO. Did he make mistakes? Yes. But he also made up for all his mistakes, he tried to put in efforts for his wife, he made her feel that she is important to him.

But after Shruthi, slowly as he learnt about Sai's feelings too he started taking her for granted, even now he is so sure that Sai will accept him back without even analyzing if Sai's thought, he doesn't recognize and understand the new Sai, the hallucination he saw was the old playful happy Sai not today's mature Sai. This is the prime example of V is living in the past. He is using regression ( a psychological defense mechanism technique to obtain temporary relief from hard circumstances, which involves reliving in the past memories where things were simpler and easier).

V is in need of serious counselling, starting from the fact that he needs to acknowledge his actions, good or bad and own up to his decisions. He has to learn he can't unilaterally take decisions that involves 5-6 lives. He needs to understand while he may prioritize some people it may not be reciprocated. And he needs to learn how to handle rejection in a psychologically and socially accepted way.

@Bold

I agree with this however- I binged few old clips and actually he is not too off from his character.

Back then also his way of making up to Sai was doing loaded dialogues, grand gestures, gifts etc but he still didn’t tell off PL or CN sternly- except when it was about her studies and post remarriage even that changed.

If you go back and rewatch those episodes one can think that - did writers wanted to tell us that he is not a perfect man all along and we overlooked?

Just like Ajinkya incident made me realize how problematic his jealousy of Aniket time was. That scene has never been same for me after Ajinkya incident.

Closure Sai gets to him- he starts taking her for granted and its always about his feelings-

he made deal, he made Vada to PL so Sai shouldn’t expect anything, he in his head broke Vada to PL so Sai should accept him-

Sai rejected his anniversary celebration so he was miffed and abused her in anniversary and Shruti track.

Sometimes I feel makers went extreme because they wanted to show Virat is a problematic guy but because of Sairat popularity people never accepted that. So they took extreme route to make them ‘unlikable’ purposely.

Atleast for me there is no other explanation of why he behaved the way he did post Sam death and Sai miscarriage where he allowed PL to slap his pregnant wife and went on to console PL instead of wife. Cant wrap my head around it even in name of drama.

Invading her personal space

It's soooo creepy

Virat behavior is like he owns Sai

I almost puked at that Proposal photo

Where you can see Sai is soo uncomfortable with virat when he jumped on her

Because he was jealous Satya was clicking sai's picture

And today too

He dragged her and then

He hugged her While she is soo uncomfortable and had her hands in the air

The problem with Sai's being single is misogynist mens like Vkrat consider women as objects

He won't back down with his cheap ways

It's gross but reality of Ghum

No respect for women or consent

No morals what's sok every

Keep you hands to yourself

nahi yaar virat is not that bad woh aisa nahi touch karega. when he is married to sai in deal marriage also he never touched her inappropriately. He is touching her now as he thinks sai also loves him when she came and hugged him in the mission. Only after that he started to touch her and feel like he got her back and as they have that intimacy before so he is touching her without any awkwardness IMO.

basically V is a toxic guy. Sai should stay way. sadly she fell for him because of situations and circumstances and seeing some good things. but if she had been more mature and less vulnerable due to her status as an orphan she would have seen the red flags. heartbreak toh ho hi gaya, sadly bacche bhi hogaye- he is the bio dad to her kids, so now she needs peace. so best she stays as far away from him as possible

Nah i don't believe that even if you are partners or even married don't touch without asking

Consent is not taught in desi society

It's not one time thing

It has to be constantly established that they are comfortable with your closeness

And need constant ensures from both parties

Also Sai is visible uncomfortable he can't even read her body language and claims to love

What he did in past doesn't rectify his constant creepiness and assault in present time

It's disgusting 🤢

Off-putting and sometimes triggering

This is the second instance in 4 days alone

thank you for stating an important thing. consent is to be taken EVERY time. just because someone is comfortable with your touch once, in the past, doesnt mean they need to feel that way in another instance. theres a difference between an impulsive hug done once or twice, or a hug done in intoxicated or emotional state versus deliberately ignoring someone's discomfort and disregarding it to touch them. When V hugged Sai in holi or when he was running behind Sai as she was hallucinating Vinu and broke down- it wasnt inappropriately done because it happened in that moment. but when he puts a hand on her now, keeps on touching her when she is clearly NOT looking comfortable - thats not ok. Sai will eventually free herself but it should not come to that. kaise pyaar hai iska where he cant even read her body language. The way he put gajra on her when she told him NO and told him she has importance to these things and is not ok with him just by the way touching her and he ignored it to go attach gajra anyway- that was inappropriate

This I forgot about this

Ans she told him not to come close to her again like that

And that because of the kids she didn't push him otherwise she was uncomfortable

Spolier Alerttodaya episode

Today virat again touched Sai without her permission and was hurting her by holding on her shoulder in a tight grip

Because she rejected his proposal

Something is seriously wrong with itv they were playing romantic bgm on that scene

We all really need too do better then this

The least we can do is make sure

We make posts here to inform and make younger audience unlearn that it's OK for men to misbehaves or touch you like that

ITS NOT OK TO TOUCH ANYONE WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION

DONT TOUCH KIDS ADULTS MEN WOMEN

without having there verbal consent

atleast today he was shown apologizing. it was wrong. but last few times he didnt even realize he was touching her without her consent. these kind of issues are too taken for granted sadly on ITV.

Virat got justification for everything he did, everything..He was a very problematic guy, i have had this feeling from the time he denied her food..but when he threw her and Usha Mausi late at night for what she did, being the DCP , knowing how women are at threat specially in the night, i was done there.. i really wanted to see some growth as far as his problematic ways are concerned, deviating from Rono, but they made him worse than Rono..Rono was far better than Virat . Emon far better than Sai..
