I genuinely thought Sonam was the next big thing when Saawariya trailer dropped.😆 Her and Ranbir together looked like a dream. But then OSO became a huge hit and I happened to watch OSO over Saawariya (thanks to God and my aunt) and was besotted with Deepika. She was just so gorgeous and amazing especially as Shanti Priya 🤩

Deepika by country miles.

She was compared to Ash and Hema when she first came on scene. I do not think she has looked SO good in any film after that. Not even in BM or Padmavat. OSO is her absolute best in terms of looks.

Sonam was never in picture at all. Only on this forum I have seen people hype Sonam for her looks and non existent talent. Otherwise Sonam was ordinary and a non starter from day one. She is nowhere in comparison to real lookers like DPad, Katrina.

I remember people going bonkers over Deepika then and even comparing her to Ash and young Hema from Dream Girl days.

No actress has ever had such a polished debut and so much confidence, prominence and glamour in her role. SRK gave her a dream launch and Farah also capitalised on her strengths and captured her looks in best ways. The wave of long hand, long shots of Deepika's slim, tall frame and swan like graceful body movements and magenta/pink lehenga were total arrival of a star.

Sonam is pretty. But Deepika has always been prettier. She has a hotness factor in her beauty. When Sonam can only look very classic traditional beauty types. Deepika is like Aish and can do both.
