I've been a silent reader for a while... but just had to comment today because while I understand the frustration (i'm equally frustrated)... isn't this what ITV is all about lol ?...
We all know how ITV shows run right? Now that Virat is owning up to his feelings for Sai, if Sai also had won her fight for Vinu as well, then the show would be over in a week. What plot would be left? No ITV show depicts a happy couple who are already in love (confessed to each other) for more than a few episodes tops, it's "boring".
They're clearly trying to prolong the show. Tbh, as soon as Virat had his church confession & then finally got convinced to divorce P, I thought to myself that this show must be ending soon and thats why they're finally amending V+S relationship. Clearly, that's not happening, they probably still have bills to pay.
There's no guarantee that Sai will leave Savi at CN, yet. Unless V stops her by using Satya's family rep as an excuse. Despite being over the moon with her brother and dad, Savi still prioritizes her mother, it's a constant that is shown time and time again. I'm just not sure if we can definitely say Savi will want to remain at CN if Sai leaves. Now that there's "no hostility" between Sai and Vinu & P, there's no reason why Savi can't maintain her familial relationships despite not living in CN. Savi has thrown tantrums before, but Sai has been able to put her foot down and convince her. Who knows, they may end up finally bringing up joint custody [but again, would reduce the conflict].
As for Vinu and the fight for him, Sai has realized he's not mentally capable of being separated from P. He's still under 10. Technically he's like 6? Maybe 7? He does not have the maturity or mental development to understand what really happened even if they did tell him the entire truth. As a doctor and moreover as a mother, there's no conceivable way Sai would want to negatively impact Vinu. Yes P is atrocious and is a criminal and probably borderline psycho, but she's all Vinu knows. I hate to type this, definitely an unpopular opinion, but P, when not under the "threat" (in P's opinion) of her "family" being ripped apart, is a decent mother to V. And Sai has realized as long as P has Vinu, and Vinu has P, Sai can still be in his life. And that to her is worth more than hurting her son. He's too old to not hold a grudge if she took him away, and too young to fully understand how P destroyed Sai's life. It's a catch 22 for Sai and it seems like she's just doing the best for her mental state as well as her children's with the cards she's been dealt with.
As someone who roots for Sai, do I want her to fight for her son, of course. But I'd rather her have a good relationship with him above all else. Not all families are so cookie-cutter = mom+dad+bio kids. And those cookie-cutter situations aren't always best for everyone either.
Sai shouldn't just be with Virat because they have two kids. He has yet to own up and truly seek forgiveness from Sai over what transpired in their relationship. He just wants things to 'go back to the way things were' but he's not even considering the trauma Sai went through. He's being incredibly selfish, sharing bio kids and having love for someone is never enough to sustain a relationship that has wreaked mental havoc on a person (that person being Sai). It's as if, now that Virat is ready, Sai must be too. smh. I'm wishing for a lot here but I hope Sai refuses Virat even before she gets threatened by P.
Also in terms of breaking up Vinu's family, it shouldn't be Sai who has to lift that burden. Virat is the one who wants out of the Virat+Vinu+Pakhi equation and he needs to be the parent here and explain to Vinu that its not even about Sai, he just doesn't want to be with Pakhi. That will be tough but if they want, Vinu can be shown to learn how to handle that information. Its if Sai comes in as the "destroyer" of Vinu's family by being his dad's other woman is when Vinu would have not only a more difficult time dealing with it but also hold probably a lifelong grudge against Sai.
sry for the long rant 😳< this is what happens when you've not been active on forums for over a year & have been a silent reader for a while lol >
