I think if custody route is taken it will be Manjari who starts it without Abhi knowing.

Then Abhi will have to defend Akshu's decision. That is the one major way he can be redeemed. By publicly acknowledging he wasn't there for her and how everyone in the family treated her. She was protecting her son from everyone.

When has this writing team done anything that made legal or medical sense?

Also could Manjari file on behalf of Abhi and essential submit the custody documents under his name. This could spark a misunderstanding between Abhi and Akshu to create drama.

I think AB did show his uneasiness for a sec when he met AA. That’s when abhir was about to fall.
