Finally, things are back on track. I have no issues with anyone in this episode. Arohi's issue is understandable with how insane Abhi has behaved in the past. But damn, she is sly; first, she asked if he was going to choose their family time or Ak's call to test the waters. Then she saw he was leaning towards answering, so she gave permission and said to put it on speaker. But from the moment she heard about Abhir there wasn't even a question about it, ofc Abhi had to go. Ak first being akshu saying why no pick-up and six years ago also you did the same thing ( another hint for the dumb doctor), but then she reverted to Mrs. Sharma and Dr. Birla. Abhi realizes Abhir connection but still can't figure out why.
Nav-BP talk felt a little out of place to me. I don't think BP or anyone knows cause yesterday they mentioned that Ak never shares anything, and she didn't even share when she got married or had Abhir just told them after. So basically, she got married after having Abhir and called to inform during birthday party. Then she waited one year and told them she had a kid out of nowhere, cause otherwise, they would have asked to bring her back during pregnancy or at least visit. Then likely cause she was keeping her distance, they never actually saw abhir till he was at least 2-3 years old, at which point maybe she just said oh, he is a fast grower or something.
Hospital scenes were amazing, but I honestly thought it was a little funny them playing passing the parcel with a kid who had surgery the day before and had stitches and everything. But the symbolism was there, I am just not sure what they are trying to say. I feel like either Nav or Abhi will die off and give heart to Abhir. Ak-Abhi scene was definitely like OG Abhira, and my understanding was Ak saying, please save my son and Abhi saying of course I am going to, why are you asking?
Abhir-Abhi interaction was really cute. I think Nav is more Abhir's friend and confidant than a father figure, and Abhi fits into that role more naturally. Abhir was worried about Ak-Nav, so he hid things from them cause they are both extremely emotional. Nav doesn't balance Ak out like Abhi does, where Abhi provides a more rational perspective. Abhir also knows that Abhi will be more straightforward like he is, so he can say things to his face which he can't with his parents. Ak is trying to fill in the shoes of being the strict, no-nonsense parent, but at the end of the day, she is just a traumatized version of Nav. Basically, the same issue we had with Ak-Nav pairing from the beginning will likely be the story moving forward. After Abhi finds out he won't really go for custody or anything, but just try to have more of a relationship with Abhir. Slowly Abhir will have more of a connection with Abhi, and Nav won't be happy about it. But both Nav-Ak will realize how much Abhir needs Abhi in his life and try to find a way to make that happen, either by Nav exiting or co-parenting.
