from episode 1-8 if we analyze the interaction between meerab and murtasaam:

they know one another very well. In hospital she said; I know you since childhood. You always make me say the bad stuff in our argument so I am looked down upon.

So you can see they always have been arguing.

he is so casual with her and always takes responsibility from episode 1. That means he was mentally prepared to look after meerab. Anwar and him was always driving up and down for meerab.

He didn’t know the reason but their bonding has always been intense and strong.

They had hate relationship so murtasam thought she hates him. That’s why he questions when did you stop hating me? He even thought meerab hates can go to a point of killing him however he was proven wrong when she was scared Bcs of his allergic reaction.

So there r many exchange of words where u can gather their past relationship.

They must have been one of those cousine who was forced to spend time with one another during holiday 😂😂

and seeing meerab she has been pampered. She is beautiful and since young everyone praised her beauty and talent which added ti her ego.

I can imagine murtasam, Maryam and haya at one side angry at meerab because she was the most beautiful one in the family getting all the attention 😂😂😂

so attraction was there but he had a name after marriage.
