I totally blame the writer!
She couldn't do justice to either of her main characters
I didnāt realize that there was an exclusive discussion thread. Copying and posting this from the other thread.
I think Murtasim is most hurt by Meerab not saying anything and standing up for him against Rohail. Murtasim might make mistakes but he stands up for Meerab time and time again against his entire family including Haya. He even did it after they got back to Meerabās parentsā house when he said that she was at Sabaās. He also constantly tells her how much she means to him and Meerab doesnāt reciprocate. I understand why and itās obvious that Murtasim understands as well that whatever was done to Meerab is unfair and thatās why heās been so patient. Nonetheless, Iām sure this makes him insecure in this relationship. When Murtasim screws up, he follows up by telling Meerab that sheās the most important person to him and that he loves etc. Heās probably not going to get that from Meerab so again heās bound to feel insecure. I think if she spoke up said something when Rohail was speaking whatever nonsense that he was then it would be a different situation. I think he found that disloyal and considering how insecure he already feels in this relationship, itās going to take time for him trust her.
And I donāt think she was as forced into Rohailās car as much as sheās claiming, lol. When she got in, I wasnāt even thinking about her being a married woman, I just kept thinking of how unsafe it was. Heās declared his love for her previously and is being obsessive and demandingā¦why would she get in his car? Sheās always resisted Murtasim more. The only reason I can come up with is that she is drawn to him (not romantically) because he is connected with her pre-marriage life. I also noticed that she didnāt resist Rohail touching her as much as she does with Murtasim at times which kind of bothered me. But I think Murtasimās touch might fluster her because she feels something and thatās why she resists sometimes. I donāt think she feels anything for Rohail so maybe thatās why she didnāt shrug him off at first. Overall though she put herself in a very dangerous situation.

My Review will come in parts. It is too long
Part-1 (Enter home to Meerab missing)
This is the first return of Meerab to her home post marriage after the door was shut on her face. Murtasim stares at her concerned and even his stance screams protector in chief. I sensed disdain from Murtasim's look towards her foster parents, Meerab is not the only one buying this fake outpouring of love. Can you believe the audacity of her foster mother how she gaslighted Meerab.
Did meerab go with sasta salman willingly, no this was coercion and when you snatch someones phone away you are abducting them. She knew sticky notes for 4 years in Uni, is she soooo wrong to give him the benefit of the doubt. KMK lived all his life with harpie and didn't recognize she is a psycho witch capable of cold blooded murder, how intelligent is he. Meerab didn't want to go with him until the trigger word police was said, she didn't want to live through Kidnapping 2.0. What would that entail her parents blaming her, khandan ki izzat in gutter and importantly provoking husband with gun. She is thinking about Murtasim and is protecting him from going crazy. She wants to close this sasta salman chapter forever to keep her husband safe.
Murtasim asking for his wife oh so sweetly, and point noted here is that he said Meerab herself wants to return awwwwwww they do communicate. His red flags immediately go up when he comes to know she is gone in taxi, I didn't see this as control just his protective instincts. He is not stalker husband, he tries Meerub phone multiple times first before driving to Saba's place. He buries his face in his arms and his whole body is agitated with worry, poor guy you felt his panic. His instincts are correct his girl is in trouble even she doesn't realize it, go save her Romeo.
KMK has saba call Sasta Salman, this moron said he was going to keep KMK precious wife hostage, and then he had the nerve to say if her husband calls don't say anything. Murtasim whole face body shivers with anger but it is against sticky notes not his wife. Murtasim first concern is his wife safety, OG Murtasim is back. How fast did Murtasim drive, he was there in seconds to protect his beloved with his gun. This time the gun is loaded I bet he double checked.
TBA patiently waits for MM to have their first phone conversation, can they please accomplish this before they have sex. This phone problem is more difficult to solve than the damn contract.
I really liked yesterdayās episode. I watched it again and i knw some are bashing meerab for going with rohail and others are bashing murtasim for that qirdar comment.
MY THOUGHTS
I liked how the episode started with meerab entering her house.. you felt for her, just a couple of weeks ago she was begging them to oped the door.
I liked how she slowly walked into her room, and how sad and hurt she was not to find her belongings..
The mother daughter convo was good.. i understand putting them in the store room to help the father over come the sadness.. but your daughter was coming home for the first time.. i think they could brought back from the store room?
Meerab did not willing go to rohailās place. Maybe this wasnt properly executed but she did not intend nor did she plan to meet him. She was happily calling saba. We clearly see how happy she was when she called saba.
Here comes Rohail, she knws him and so she doesnt want to create another drama/embarrassment as you mentioned. Because calling the cops will only look bad on her at the end and everyone will get to know.. she tried to handle the situation..
She wasnt exactly being kidnapped but she showed the hesitancy. Rohail was being demanding.. up until now, for meerab he is only a friend.. she doesnt know the whole obsession part.
When rohail takes her phone, you see that she is not confortable.. we also see that when he brings her to his place.. she doesnt want to go in.. he manipulates her by saying you dont have to be scared of me.. she still doesnt knw all his obsession..
Once in, she sees the WB and she is shocked.. she doesnt understand.. she tried to leave, even says her husband must be looking for her and all.. the only line i didnt like here was āhow will i come out of this situationā she says something like that.. which felt out of contexte for me at least.. because a minute ago she said her relation with murtasim was getting stronger and stronger..
she defends the namard part as well.. she doesnt think of accusing him of something like this..
she tries to leave multiple times..
I hate this phone issue, when murtasim calles is switched off but when saba calls it rings.. the writing is bad here.. NO LOGIC
Anyways, coming to murtasim, he is scared of losing his wife.. the moment be doesnt knw where she is.. he doesnt doubt her.. but he knws she is capable of leaving him.
I liked the whole saba telephone and murtasim part.. no words, all you see is fury in his eyes!! (Damn wahaj looks good angry)
Murtasim comes in, sees his wife in another manās flat. Meerab knws that she messed up somehow and this doesnt look good and deep down she is also scared.. Does he doubt her, i dont think so.. if Murtasim ever doubted that, at least for me, i feel he would have left her then and thereā¦
he doesnt say anything and looks at her hurt and disappointed.. not angry.. but all hell gets loose when rohail starts with his mohabbat and all..
I wanted more blood but when did they give us what we want..
I liked how even in anger, it was only meerab who could stop him.. and he stops at her demand both times, during the punches and gun.
Little things i noticed here was even when murtasim dragged meerab out, his signature move, he made sure to grab her upper hand and not wrist.. (hayee the care ā¤ļøš)
They come out, meerab lets go and willing goes in. This can be interpreted in many ways but i like to see the positive side.. he doesnt have to force her to get in like rohail did, she goes in with her will..
coming to the parents house, murtasim being murtasim saves her the embrassement.. the father is a lawyer so he catches the lie..
The room convo was very well done.. but i had to play it so many times to understand murtasimās lines..
She tries to explain, he doesnt want to listen and he says it out loud i cant get that image out of my head.. he says apna kirdar banoe.. this does not mean you are characterlessā¦.its was more like take a stand, grow a bone.. you basically let another man express his feelings in front of your husband..
From what i understood is what hurt him most was her not saying anything when rohail was expressing his love.. she kept silent and let rohail continue..
Finding your wife in someone else house, is an insult for him. Its his pride, ego, everything.. and i like what the father said.. for a man like murtasim to stay quiet after all this, THIS MEANS THAT MEERAB MEANS MORE THAN ANYTHING TO HIM. And i hope she understands that!
The end scene when murtasim is crying.. i have no words. IT WAS BEAUTIFULLY PAINFUL. I LOVED IT.
Omg i think this is the longest post ever..

I agree!
He found it disloyal because of the way it was portrayed. I don't think she can be ever be disloyal to him, she does not have that kind of cunningness in her. She's just stupid when it comes to her past life. If she intended disloyalty, she would have gone to meet him rather than Saba.
When it comes to insecurity, they are both insecure in this marriage, but the reasons are different. Meerab fears giving herself completely and Murtasim fears not getting that love back. Sigh.
I just kept thinking of how unsafe it was The writer must be really high to not think about the kind of situation she was creating to get to the big showdown. She just cared about drama š¤¢
The only reason I can come up with is that she is drawn to him (not romantically) because he is connected with her pre-marriage life. I think she connects both Saba and Rohail as the only means to get her old self back. She sees them as a mirror to her old self. 4 years of college with these two as friends, she surely had some good memories made. Again, the writer failed to deliver on this front š¤Ŗ
I donāt think she feels anything for Rohail so maybe thatās why she didnāt shrug him off at first. If they were indeed good friends before she got married, it is quite possible she doesn't care about his touch THAT way at all, though she did brush him aside once or twice. Also, even though the guy is a psycho, he does not come across as a pervert or someone who lusts on her till now, he's just a psycho who was snatched off his dreamgirl, contrary to how Haya lusts over Murtasim (that is my inference)
I also feel Meerab has been more submissive to everyone around her ever since her parentage truth came out. Yes, she gets rude and acts ignorant, but in the end, she always submits, even to Murtasim.
Her fighter instinct is pretty much dead. She is only a silent rebel now.
will read it lateršš¼

This was the most unbiased review I read over yesterday's episode!
We think a lot about right and wrong over this show which is mainly made for mindless entertainment š
Just one point, I wish we got Meerab's meeting with Saba. She genuinely felt happy wanting to talk to a friend after all that happened in her life. We would have got some insight into her thoughts. We were robbed off.

He was clearly more upset with her for not speaking a word in his favour.
i had to re watch soo many times, he spoke so fast in that scene.. when meerab says i was just talking, he gets mad and says ātalkingā he was expressing his love to you and saying āfasool bateinā about me and you kept quiet.
He doesnt doubt her or her character, but he is deeply hurt that she didnt take a stand in front of rohail.
