Does Meerab have feelings for Murtasim?

Yes she does. I am going to exemplify my answers as well. The first time I felt Meerab has feelings for him was post the machli incident. She was definitely worried and I guess guilty but the way she cried for him, his well being made me feel that there is some feeling attached to it. Then she wakes up and makes breakfast for him which is big no no in Meeru’s world and she says the maid made it.

Then she sees Haya with him and immediately goes on the guise ke mujhe farak nahin parta- but her body language her anger and her dialogues - all seem to suggest that she is starting to feel possessive for her hubby.

the most obvious scene that Meerab is feeling attracted towards Murtu was when he had the Adam-Eve convo with her. She got into the moment and leans in and finally withdraws. After he leaves, she is like admiring herself remembering his words and then says no I can’t fall for you Murtu, I will always have to hate you.

The next time her feelings felt shown was the post the shooting scene - she thinks he’s shot and cries her heart out, prays for him- and when tried to hug him when he came back. Tumhe kya hua hai? Goli lagi hai? and he says Afsos ho raha hai. Goli lagi aur main maara nahin and she says nahin( so brokenly- voice modulation by yumna was spot on) -

and then the accident- I think it’s the time Meeru realizes she’s falling for her hubby. He’s in hospital and no one lets them meet. She finally had the support of both foster and biological parents to leave him and she refused to do so. She kept on defending him- he didn’t throw me out, he didn’t know. We should meet him. So all her hopes that it could be fixed is on him and he breaks that in the bench scene and she is broken that he too, asked her to leave.

Post the accident meerab is slowly accepting their relationship. Whether it’s the bedroom sleeping arrangement, hand caresses, face caresses, date scene or gajra scene she’s allowing him liberties that she never did. She’s flirty she’s smiling she’s playful. She’s enjoying their courtship

And in comes )Haya, and out comes all her trust issues back. Also biggest evidence of her feelings- when she thought she caught them red handed- she was broken as she believed it was her right that was taken away.

So conclusion she’s definitely got feelings

Meerab doesn’t accept it for a few reasons and let me try to articulated this to the best of my ability.

Forced/Coercion

This marriage wasn’t one she wanted. She fought against it. She fought so hard that she had to lose her identity and her parents before she accepted it. Accepting him means she accepts that what her parents did was right in the end. And she’s not to take that lightly.

Loss of freedom/ambition

For her being the Khanam isn’t something great. She doesn’t like the rigid shackles that this title places on her. Nor does she want to accept the feudal system or it’s guidelines- that she can’t speak up against KMK even when he’s doing something wrong- she is in a situation where her career aspirations and her dreams, her previous free life all are lost for this marriage.. and she can’t just let it go

Fear

For all her mujhe dar nahin lagta- she’s scared of Murtu and always has been. She’s scared because he has all the power and she has none. He can literally toss her from the balcony and no one can do anything-

Anwar to meerab - if he leaves your side

Meerab- even you can’t do anything?

When she starts dancing at the walima and she sees him all angry- she backs down- because deep down she’s scared he will hit her- yes that’s how she sees him regressive and dominating- and violent.

Who wants a toxic cousin in love with your hubby? Who is doing all that she can and get away with him and your hubby in many ways encourages her?

I remember ka haya ko script mein kafi slaps parte hain per sabeena did not want to do this iss liye woh nahi hua.I guess woh contract reveal wale scene mein she was supposed to get slapped but they cut that part by making mb stop murtasim.Waise bhi it's better ka murtasim ne haya ko nahi mara warna phir se debate start ho jate iss baat p.

If everyone constantly warns you about your husband who wouldn’t be scared.

Even after being a strong girl she is scared, I can’t imagine others.
