I think I may be in the minority, but never for once did I tune into this show thinking it is going to be about just Bilal and Sajal. I tuned honestly becos of Nadeem Baig direction and writing by Syed Mhd Ahmed. I was a fan of his tere bin Laden writing, I knew there would be layers to the characters. And of course six sigma is an amazing production house. Honestly, I find bilaal and Sajal love story to be one aspect of this show. I always knew this would be the case. I was willing to be manipulated by the writing, and I was from the beginning.
I also didn't feel it will entirely be about Bilal and sajal but expected them to be the central plot. This drama from ep1 gave me ek jhooti love story vibe. It also had multiple storyline going on but the central characters were Bilal and madiha. Even though they didn't had a proper love story or romance, as individual characters they were the center. They both had a lot of screentime and monologues which made us completely aware about what they feel and how they feel.
Here there are episodes with minimum to no sajal and Bilal. It irked me at first but when i started being invested in other characters i didn't mind it. Also for the last 4-5 episodes they are giving atleast one bilal-sajal scene and their story is also progressing. None of their scenes are just there to grap eyeballs. It's meaningful and every scene is developing their relationship forward. So now i don't mind if episodes are not completely filled with these two as long as all their scenes serves the purpose of taking their relationship forward.
