She is a typical mother in law. Usually reality main aisi hi mother in laws hoti hai bilkey issey bhi kharab. They just think about their son, bahu bhaad main jaye unko kya.
Still Maa begum is not an evil person, she thought that murtasim is not happy with meerab so she asked if he wants he can leave her.
Aisa toh meerab ky useless parents ny bhi bola tha na ky chalo humarey saath agar yahan khush nhi ho.
Just imagine she literally changed meerab's whole life, snatched her dreams, don't mind slapping her, seperated her from her adopted parents.
After doing all these, she don't mind throwing meerab away just like that. I am not saying she should accept her son married life where he and his wife isn't happy.

Regarding meerab parents asking her to come to karachi. They change their colours more then anyone. After few days they would have forced her to go to haveli had she went with them.

When they can cut down many meerasim scenes then they can cut haya rohail nonsense too.
