Are you a muslim? I am muslim thats why I know about it a bit thnks to my bestie getting married. Its actually a big deal .. Lots of muslim girl are not even aware of their rights . Sometimes here wedding is cancelled due to disagreement regarding the amount .I hear about haq mehar only in pak dramas. Never heard of it in my place.
As salman himself said he is very pyaarađ
Sajal's entire look in this drama is very beautiful. It's just that her looks don't have a professional feel for someone who is working in the corporate world.
I think there isn't a particular dress code for women in offices in pakistan

No, i am not. I am from Kerala and here i have only went to the reception of Muslim weddings. The actual wedding happens inside a mosque or some other places with family members only and then they come to the reception hall. So i am not very sure what exactly happens. I don't even know if Muslims here say qubool hai or something else. I don't remember any Malayalam movies with Muslim characters showing Muslim wedding in detail. I have attended Christian weddings inside the church and slept through them. đ
Also Muslims in Kerala don't talk Urdu unlike other parts of India. I doubt if they even understand urduđ.
Nikah Nama is like a legal contract between the groom and the bride at the time of Nikah that is signed by both parties. It assigns their rights and duties as husband and wife through a number of clauses. Usually, some of its clauses are cut by the moulvi at the time of nikah which deprives the wife of her rights mentioned in those clauses. The most important of these rights is the Right to Divorce. If a wife has a right to divorce, she can divorce her husband and keep her Haq Mehr. If not, the wife must file for Khula from the court and mostly forego her Haq Mehr. Hence, awareness in being spread in women to not allow the moulvi to cut these clauses and protect their rights as mostly the groom's side peopole are with the moulvi in cutting these clasues, while the bride's side people prefer to not talk about it as talking about divorce at the time of nikah seems like a bad thing to them. What was the lines the malvi said to cut off from the nikkah naama that phupho resisted?
Can someone explain?

Wow. I didnt know about the divorce clause. Thanks for the info. Thanks to drama now this discussion is happening . đđź
Well, divorce is the unilateral right of dissolving the marriage, while khula is a procedure to get divorce through the court. What's the difference between khula and divorce?

Is there any advantage of taking divorce over khula?
I mentioned this in my earlier post. When the wife doesn't have the right for divorce and get it through the court, mostly she has to forgo her Haq Mehr money. Is there any advantage of taking divorce over khula?
