Gujarat Giants started off slowly but they have done well to post a competitive total on the board. Dunkley departed early as Kapp nipped her out.

After that, Wolvaardt and Harleen steadied the ship with some sensible batting. They missed out on some boundary opportunities though. Jonassen got the better of the latter but the real momentum shift came after that, in the form of Gardner.

She was aggresssive from the get go and that rubbed off on Wolvaardt. The opener found her range and shifted gears to perfection.

They scored quickly in the middle overs and that helped them to get back into the contest. Slog overs weren't bad either for Gujarat and because of that, they posted close to 150.

Delhi have a deep batting lineup and Gujarat need to bowl really well to defend this fighting score

: Wolvaardt played the anchor's role and Gardner finished off the innings on a high. It meant two of the key things came off for the Giants but they might be slightly under par. Wolvaardt says the surface is on the slower side, that the opposition spinners bowled well and kept it a bit short. Hopes that the score they would be enough. Two of the seven Capitals bowlers bowled their full quota. The constant changes didn't give the batters the opportunity to tee off against any one bowler. 62 and 53 off the middle and death overs respectively.

Update from Vishal on the conditions There's some drizzle in some parts of the city and the wind has also picked up in the last half hour or so. No signs of rain at CCI yet, but it could be here anytime given the proximity to the Arabian Sea.

Shubham Singh: "One thing is for sure, these surfaces aren't batting paradises like they were. They are slowing down, also the standard of bowling is already high so scoring is going to be tough." Yeah, a few overs in, I thought it'd play better for the batters
