Omg that was my impression too. Hypocrite. Also, I liked the writer. I loved hearing how she loved writing the script and how her husband was involved in the process. I liked how she explained Meerab. And it kind of rekindled my love for Meerab a bit lol. We are all humans. Meerab was a good girl, sheltered, self-righteous, and nadaan in many respects, but still generally a nice girl. These bombs dropped on her and now she is reacting like a human. The contract itself was a reaction, a quick one hastily written on a note pad. But someone’s reactions don’t necessarily define them. As is Meerab’s case here.
Murtasim’s approach is to now give her something else to react to… to give her a new set of reactions. Love how she reacts to his flirting (irritates, shocked, annoyed, flustered) And she’s slowly starting to react to his love for her…and his body :)
I love the different aspects of Murtasim. He’s taking care of her because he views her as his responsibility. Also, he is mesmerized by her beauty and personality and this makes him mentally and physically attracted to that. He also respects her and listens to her. And finally, he also finds her to be so cute and adorable when he teases and flirts with her. It’s clear that the writer has bundled all these desirable qualities in this mythical husband.
It is pretty amazing that she was able to translate that fantasy nicely onscreen because usually I start getting annoyed with characters in these dramas, and just move on. The males lose their charm for me, or the family drama just overwhelms me and I get bored. I didn’t care to finish MH or KTK or KAM3. Here, TB has managed to reach out to a larger global audience for sure. TB trends here in the US too! I’ve never joined a forum or followed shows through Ig or Twitter prior to TB. So, hats off to them. It’s not like it’s a some great social cause/ historical drama - I watch this show for the fantasy value and they have managed to pull that off to another level!
