Abhimanyu is partly the reason. Post the 6 year leap he had multiple chances to stop his mom's rant and tell her what happened that day but he didn't. What I do know is the only way a MIL backs off from badmouthing / taunting DIL is if her son draws the line. Son's silence is considered as him supporting / agreeing with his mother.

For me, it feels like writers taking U turns and S turns making an a&& of themselves with their inconsistencies and character assassinations.

Another reason is Manjari is a woman who has taken abuse from her husband for years, knew about his affair and yet continued to live with him and love him with all her heart. So she either expected the same from her daughter in law or feels that Akshara has given up on her marriage too easily. Also she sees her son as Perfection Personified (as most moms tend to). She has seen him go all out for this girl the first time around and the subsequent heartbreak when the girl lied with a straight face - I don't love you. Then all the drama and marriage happened but then again... She had lost her trust when Akshara left with Dr Khera and never got back that trust again. Sees her as someone who is looking for excuses to walk away from Abhimanyu.

Vey well explained Suvika. You are 100% right about her view of both papa birla and Abhi. For her Abhi is as perfect as one can be, as a son, a doctor, husband or a father. Papa birla despite his infidelity and him treating her as dirt she still loved him. She only started seeing what kind of person he was when Akshu pointed it out.

Whilst I may get her perspective, I can not excuse her for shouting though. She did claim Akshu was her daughter once, why didnt she trust her even a tiny bit. One way Destiny is right. whole saga Ab is the main reason. he portrays as if Akshu gave a divorce and ran away from home and settle with a stranger.

But he never reveals how inhuman with her that day! he is not even realizing himself.

KM started with mother love, then she is hating Ak for his son's state after seeing Ak with her son she became jealous. now mixing all she becomes a psychopath. now by hook or crook, she wants to do Ab and Ar's marriage and prove that her son also has a happy family.

Now Ak is her biggest hurdle for that. that's why she losing herself and talking nonsense.

Arohi never loved Neil he was just a means to an end. Her prize was always Abhi. She may have started to really have feelings for him. I mean if you see the way he cares for Roohi and everything of course her heart melted. Abhi is very loving to his loved ones. These are things that Akshu had already identified in him. @red - I have been thinking about Akshara.

After reading the highlights of today's episode - no, I wasn't brave enough to actually watch it... I wonder at her silence. I mean she has never been good at self-defense of course but is it because it's part of her nature or because of the systematic stripping away of her self-confidence and self-respect? She seems to think / believe that she deserves all that's being dished out to her. That she is indeed bad omen / bad luck / ... and disaster is her shadow. At least that's the impression I got. Could that be part of the reason she left and has stayed away from everyone all these years... letting them believe whatever they wanted? "They have lost enough because of me so I should remove my presence from their lives." She believed it for a long time w.r.t Sirat's death then Abhimanyu tried to bring her out of it only to later smack her face with that along with all the other deaths too. Does she see herself as a killer?? Not the psycopathic killer kind of course... you know what I mean. And today the same thing was said again by Manjari. The day she brought that kalash and Manjari started on her rant too she never said a word in her defense. Her shield came out only when the words extended towards Abhinav. We have been thinking Akshara didn't reveal her past to Abhinav because she didn't / doesn't give him importance. Could it be that she didn't want to? I mean as long as he doesn't know she is the killer, he would continue to respect her and like her - could this be her line of thinking??

I don't think Ak will ever say anything to anyone but Abhi. Even during the hand separation track, she only talked to Abhi about her struggle, and even that was not done well. No one knew what she went through except for Abhi, and even he knew very little. Manjari especially had no clue; I think she only got titbits from Mahima. Abhi always makes a big show of his struggles, making it seem like he is hurting more. But he never stops to think about Ak and how she is feeling or doing.

I really want Ak to blast everyone, and hoped that would happen after this leap. But the reality is that Ak will not talk to anyone that way, for herself. If things come to Abhir, maybe she will defend her decisions. Or, more likely, if they say Abhinav is not fit to be the father, she may talk for him and tell everyone how much he supported her. If they ask about Abhi she will say that she called, but he denied both her and their child.

But honestly, I don't see us getting the strong fierce lady we expect from Ak. She believes she is the reason for all the accidents and deaths. How does anyone recover from that or have a shred of dignity left? Until Abhi starts defending Ak again, we are not going to hear the end of this. He has to stand up and be like, this is all wrong, Ak is not at fault, it was an accident. But he is also in mute mode.

I took that statement to mean she never comes/communicates at the right time. Her timing is always off.

When she needs to say something she doesn't. She lets it pile up and until it comes out at the most inopportune time. Example her admitting she loved Abhi. She was too worried about her family and Arohi and what they would think. If she had just said "Yes. I love Abhi too and I want to marry him"during the first tilak then things would have ended right then and there.

People who are more vocal about their feelings naturally grab people's attention. They at least know what that person is thinking. They don't have to guess. That person will tell you. But if you are quiet and refuse to talk how is anyone going to understand how you feel about something? The more you talk the more you bond with a person. And then you can sort of infer what that person thinks or wants. You get their nature. Akshu never says anything so some of that is self inflicted but she also has a family who doesn't listen. So it becomes a bit of a cycle.

Why did the Goenkas act the way they did when Akshu confessed at the mandir her love for Abhi? Because they were like if you had just told us in the beginning none of this would have happened. Now everything all a mess. Egg on faces of both families and in front of society. Abhi looks like the mandap ditcher and Akshu looks like the sister who stole the groom. Both families are getting mocked at their stupidity. What? These Birlas and Goenkas didn't know what was going on?

So Arohi is always vocal about her victimization and Akshu just takes the hits. Because she blames herself. We know she feels guilty. But because the writers won't show it we don't even get to see what is she actually thinking inside about Neil. At least today we got her memories of Neil and their relationship.

Exactly this has been core trait of Manjari from leap 1. She has always felt Abhi loves akshu more,so he is the one who is bending backwards for her , making amends n doing sacrifices. If abhi puts his mom on pedestal , she is no less. She fails to recognise abhi's impulsive decision making is the root cause of his marital problems. She thinks abhi is the best son one can have, so she automatically implies he will be a best husband as well. after the white day, any sane mother would have asked his son what exactly happened between them. But this crazy lady was busy celebrating her bday. She should be asking questions to Abhi now. Akshara is not liable to pick his phone calls. She should go n ask what made you call her so many times.if her son wants to talk to akshara n have a closure he should be given the chance. If abhi has other thoughts then she should start holding him responsible for his decisions. It's high time, story needs to move. Atleast make abhinav take a call. Let him take abhir n akshara back to kasauli.
