serious question folks -- is there anything that prevents widows/singles/divorcees from playing holi? am just asking because you hear stories that with certain festivals/rituals, some are discouraged from actively participating even now. however whether it is true or not is hard to tell because people always say that we have advanced and that only happened decades ago.

There is no denying that these kind of archaic traditions were widely practiced in old times where widows were considered as inauspicious and hence were not allowed to participate in festivals or wedding rituals. There was a similar practice of not allowing a woman who can't conceive to participate in baby shower of another woman.

With the passage of time these things have decreased drastically because of education, awareness, women empowerment. But still can't say it has been abolished altogether. You never know people with narrow mentality still practising it.

I don't know I don't have a good feeling about it. Even though kaviaan has become friendly with each other but still katha can take this in wrong way that viaan again trying to protect her and all that and she is capable of solving her own problems blah blah blah😆

Teji & her emotional blackmails on Viaan never stop? Viaan is in a social service mode to make Neerja meet her sons on occasion of Holi, rather than start rituals with mom in his house.
