i think chemistry is beyond just physical attractiveness of characters. That is why when you read a Novel you can visualize chemistry with your imagination, Elizabeth and Darcy had great chemistry even before they were visualized on tv. It is about whether two personalities can fit, it is what they say to each other and how they say it. If the same meerub dialogues were given to different actress, I doubt they will create the same bond. It is yumna performance that creates the chemistry with wahaj character.
it is not that fawad had great chemistry with mahira, it is ashar had great chemistry with khairad, the actors just brought it to life on screen, if their characters were written poorly and the actors performance faltered then this great chemistry wouldn’t exist.

Even srk and Kajol couldn’t make Diwale work, because they were no longer the great characters of the past, and so the magic wasn’t there.

Even though dilwale didn't work srk and kajol's chemistry in all the scenes were still the same. They both have great chemistry even offscreen. Baazigar and Karan Arjun didn't had srk-kajol as central romance and still people started loving them. Ddlj was their first proper out an out romantic movie. Srk has done much more intense romantic movies like veer Zara, Dil se , devdas with other actresses but no of that beat his chemistry with Kajol. Technically those are better movies than ddlj or kkhh with much more fleshed out characters but they don't give the feel raj and simran or Rahul and Anjali gives.

Some actors just have great chemistry regardless of how their works are received. Ok jaanu didn't do well but still Aditya and shraddha had amazing chemistry in that movie. Even in the photoshoot and offscreen IVs they have chemistry. They look picture perfect together all the time.

I agree that most of the times it's the writing and the Dynamo of the characters that bring out the chemistry but in rare cases the actors just have amazing chemistry with each other naturally and it just takes it to different level.

My choice was Damon should have ended up with Bonnie, now those two characters fit. Elena I had a love hate relationship with her character. After awhile I didn’t ship with her anybody, she was all over the place. Stefan deserved bettered. But the real couple on that show was Damon and Stefan.

I didn't like stelena that much either. And Paul saying Nina is like a sister to him didn't help it 😆. But Stefan came out as a much more complicated character than Damon. Damon was simply the sexy bad boy. Stefan was much more darker with his going rogue days and his history with Klaus. Klaus and stefan scenes were really interesting.
