This bigamy stuff is truly cringe.
But V will as usual have excuses.
Sai as a character doesn't really care anymore about VP. Shes past it entirely. She is only being cordial for the sake of kids. Thats why i wish they cut down the fake cheeriness. But Ayesha manages to show her hesitation, discomfort. Today also she looks really upset at old memories not happy nostalgic. Earlier she probably used to recall at least these kind of memories with fondness but now she doesn't even have fondness. She's plain upset and uncomfortable.
But i find VP more cringe because if they show all this- Sai walking in to see them having lunch dates in office on top of multiple other intimate moments that P, V and CN losers have made her witness just to be pathetic - if after all this she doesn't put him in his place for making uncomfortable advavces towards her or reconciles with him forgetting all this then it's actually a bigger butchery of Sai.
Every VP scene they insert is another strike on the Sai V reconciliation that they are banking on. The more they show VP the more every kind of audience - even the one who is new and not well versed with the 750 episodes of Vs crap, even they wont tolerate it or want a Sai V reunion. Makers dont realize that they are destroying the life jacket that they have kept for their rescue.
V should be keeping his distance from P not because of Sai but because of his kids. He is seeing that she's poisoned Vinus mind. He is seeing her spew venom about Savi. Yet he allows her to act all normal and set up lunch date. Even if Sai didn't exist, would any husband allow his wife to pretend like nothing happened if he was arguing about something major related to his children. Children trump everything!
So this makes him not only look immoral as a man but as a spineless father who allows a woman who speaks ill about his children, ruins their mental health to be behaving all intimate with him.
It makes him look like a police officer who cant maintain basic decorum in his professional sphere also. His office is not the place for PDA even if this was a regular much in love couple with no other baggage.
This scene may end up as V reprimanding P and running behind Sai to find out what complaint but its too late- Sai has left. But it doesn't matter. The damage is done. Because intentions matter. The point will not be whether V has a successful lunch date or not. Because either way, he's already once again established just how shameless and horrible he is.
