V is a type of clingy character who would not leave their partners and be touchy with them always and want their partners to pamper them always. If not, they lose control like V does on not getting importance from Sai. The reason he wants Patty as nanny to both his kids and give them to her in a blink, so that he can have time with Sai being pampered, happened during surrogacy too.

I feel the makers are giving some light hearted lollipops to remind viewers that Sai and Virat bhi kabhi Sairat hua karte they. Drama shayad next week se shuru hoga. Sai obviously won't forgive him that easily plus there's this huge anaconda in between them who will try to create more misunderstandings and distances between them.
