The show is supposed to stretch once Viaan realizes he is in love with Katha and Katha won’t be giving in that easily. If it’s stretching already when their actual story hasnt even begun I don’t have much hope.

To answer your question, yes such surnames exists. During Islamic expansion of Iran, many Persians fled from Europe and settled in India. They practiced Zoroastrian, and found a new identity here as Parsi. They adopted their job and location as their surnames. Thus surnames like Contractor exist. I had a friend whose surname is Glasswaala. In Bollywood too, there are surnames like Screwvala and Furniturewala. Other catchy last names are Daaruwaala, SodaBottleOpenerWaala, Poonawala etc.

Maharani said about ek tarfa pyar which viaan will do for some time. He will confess his love and say he doesn't want anything in return. She may take time to give answer and he will wait his whole life if needed.

Later, katha will say no as she will start to think she is cheating on Adi's memories and giving his place to someone else plus she will think Aarav is not ready to accept someone in her life. And yes, she will confess she can't forget that kaali raat ever.

Viaan will be heartbroken but he tells her he will continue to love her and hope one day she will come out of her fears and accept him.

maharani said ki if you are lucky enough then someone will see your shiddat and start loving you in the same way. So Katha will slowly fall in love with him seeing his devotion, patience and pure love.
