Viaan also said to ehsan that what katha wants from life and what ehsan wants from life are very different things. Viaan understands that ehsan trying to manipulate her will not have a happy ending for both of them. But unfortunately ehsan thinks viaan is just jealous.

one of the things I picked up from watching various shows is this -- shared visions and goals leads to relationship longevity. love isn't enough.

thats why you can have love marriages still go spectacularly wrong because they were never on the same page when it comes to important life goals. when you are in love, such real conversations seem boring or irrelevant. people say romantic stuff like "love will win the day" but reality proves otherwise.

there is so much more to making a relationship work and it needs more than love. so people like viaan who are speaking practically and pragmatically seem like kabab ka haddi or jealous or opposing love.

however, when problems come, people realize that life needs a lot more than just love. even if ehsaan was genuinely in love with her, he does not what katha wants from life. and she is not going to compromise for him. so eventually they will end up miserable or break up.

viaan faces the problem of being a level headed friend -- the one people dont' want to hear at times because they are actually spot on.
