Very true it was not done properly .. they should have been a little more balanced .. they should have ignored the lawyers .. and tried getting it from a legal counsellor ., who tries mediating the matter . They could have shown court has appointed a mediator .. who will hear both sides fairly and give an opinion

Sai has always been Mahadev bhakt since the first episode and she indeed took the prasad as Mahadev's blessing. As you said she has immense faith in Mahadev and confidence in herself that she's not doing anything wrong so she left it all on him thinking that Mahadev will do justice with her whereas Pakhi is in constant fear of losing Vinu because she knows that she carried Vinu in her womb using unfair means. Plus Sai indeed has more right over him than other. She has always used Vinu to get Virat and losing Vinu means losing Virat too. That's why she didn't take Sai's prasad.
