sunday random question 😆:
what do folks think about reet?? why do you think she is insecure?
It looks like Reet agreed to marry Yuvi because he was a single child of rich parents (Adi dead and Katha never in the picture). But now Katha is in that too with Aarav as waris. Her position is threatened. Unlike Katha, she doesn't have a career to survive so she can't move out. With the pota jaap that older couple do, even I get irritated.

so true; that would make her pain and insecurity more relatable to TRP aunties no? would they still make her negative? after all, how can reet compete with superwoman katha who seems to be excelling in every field whereas reet has nowhere else to show her talents except at home. however, even there, her efforts are not praised on their own unless she voices her own trumpet. that must be frustrating. plus is yuvraj seems to genuinely love her though he is at times distracted because of work. he knew about the presents that papaG was getting but didn't think of them as a big deal or something to tell her about. he is secure in his job and his place in the family. so hard for him to understand her fears....
@bold: They will make her negative because that's how ITV works. The main reason why people watch tv is because they want to see someone too perfect to be true. The average, realistic characters are slowly turned into villains so that fl can be glorified. Sad reality of the tv (even film) industry.
I find Reet's character realistic. She is jealous but does not do any saazish
Infact she said once that she does not want to bad mouth Aarav when he was ill..
She is threatened that her position will be affected by Katha and aarav's closeness with garewals..
We normally have some relatives like her..wo won't do any saazish but at the same time you know your equation with them is not friendly in reality..they are harmless
One correction- she married into Garewals much before aaditya death as her daughters are elder to aarav

as viaanrocks noted, think reet and yuvi got married earlier.

somehow I stop relating when they show too-perfect FLs when they are actually annoying and doing mindbending decisions. so it is not a true perfection -- more like packaged to be but very obviously not.
No, I don't think so. Katha and Adi married straight out of college. So their ages were around 22. Yuvi must be at least 1 year younger. There is no way that Reet and Yuvi could marry before Adi and Katha, legally.
Also Adi and Katha married 10 years ago. Katha is shown to be in early 30's, that is around 32. So that confirms that she got married when she was 22.
With Reet's daughter older than Aarav, well birth control exists. Adi literally left his home, so they would have to set up new home. Obviously they won't have a baby when there is no concrete home.

So do I. We, as younger audience, like relatable content. However, older audience still prefer the perfect female persona.

I was actually under the impression that aditya was the younger son and yuvraj older...
