This is post covid so even better I'd say. This success should be applauded. It's great news for the whole industry, not just Bollywood.

I am not an SRK fan but this just feels good.

And call me biased but I cannot accept Khan era ending or use of past tense for Khans' domination. I was watching a video where someone was talking about SRK as 'woh 90s se 2010 tak king of romance the'. I was like, what? WTF is 'the'? I had read a column about end of Aamir or talking of his Lagaan to Dangal era like it was history.

I just cannot bear to see Khans being declared history so soon. I mean yeah, they are nearing 60, but still.

I grew up with them and those fan wars and hysteria they generated. I'd like them to be as active as AB Sr and Rajinikanth even in 80s. I am a selfish 90s kid.

I just feel good to see a Khan film do well and people feel crazy seeing surprise appearance of Salman also in Pathaan and finally those WA forwards about Khans and Deepika not affecting film collections.

I am glad SRK remained away from interviews and so did DP. They did not make mistake of apologising for any statement the way Aamir did in LSC promotions. What did apologies or clarifications get Aamir? Nothing.

Keeping silent and not getting involved in controversies nor offering clarifications was good on part of SRK, DPad and YRF played it smart.

No need to speak on any causes or own life. Just do own work. Audience seems starved of entertainment post COVID, so give them masala and escapism, no tragedies or message films or biopics. Pathaan cracked the code.

South films do well for same reason. Audience knows nothing about stars or their views. Pure masala film and escapism works.

SRK gets targeted purely for being Khan. So do Aamir, Salman, Saif, Sara and Kareena (after marriage).

The Khans khans thing is the reason why there is so much propaganda against Bollywood and BW films starring any actor with this surname.

SRK would never be targeted so much if he was a Kumar or Sharma, Kapoor, Khanna, Kaushal, Khurana, Verma, Malhotra and not a Khan.

I am glad he played it smart and kept quiet this time. So did DP. They never took bait of media and troll army even once.

Good to see their strategy pay off and their success.
