Probably because many og creators cannot afford to sue these producers. Alternatively, hollywood peeps do not sue them because it's a rabbithole.

In meryem the fl and ml didnt even know eo till the accident and the villain aka the bf was a prosecutor and he and the fl had been together for a long time and she loved him. Also the whole love story btwn the leads began once the fl got out of jail and they kept on interacting and ml figured out she was innocent and she knew the true killer.

Meryem itself was inspired from a korean show secret love but that was even more tragic coz the fl was pregnant went to jail for a few years and her baby with her ex was adopted by other people.

I prefer Meryem its not as tragic better romance and a happier ending for most of the characters.

But even SP makers credit OG shows when they copy😳 and I think even that Sony show credited the Pak show Mere Paas Tum Ho, if I am not wrong. Or was that also stolen?

There was also another SP show starring Sanjay Kapoor which was copied from a Turkish Show, I think it was called "Dil Sambhal Ja Zara". So this is not the first time a Turkish show is being copied.

I think even thgat Amla show was copied from a Turkish show.

Many Colors shows have been adapted from movies, such as Dil Se Dil Tak and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka

PKYEK on Star One was a copy of Twilight

Dhadkan on Sony was copied from Grey's Anatomy.
