I hated the fact that everyone ignored her instead of getting restless when she returned, if not happy. The legal wife of the eldest son of the family is back with a kid!! and no one cared to bother! Initial few days they suspected her and they were angry. FINE..but later also, no one bothered to address. NOW What?!! Ironically, only Pakhi questioned her position. She asked her alter ego how she can show rights on Virat when the first wife is here!! This is a subconscious demarcation that happens in the mind, for the people living in a society. When the first wife who is assumed to be dead is back, people stop and think. The morality will keep people in check. Pakhi never stuck to these moralities pre-leap. But post leap, she did atleast for once. That night she expressed the same to Virat. You first wife, who you loved truly is back. What is my status? That is a valid question. However, Virat in whatever "morality" and "duty" he defined for himself, assures her that she will remain his wife and Vinu's mumma. Anyone can become a mother, the relationship is such. It will be hailed as compassion. But only one can be a wife at one time. The relationship can be neither time shared nor space shared. Virat's assurance that day and every following day gave Pakhi the needed boost.
Pakhi's confidence, Virat's ignorance to Sai's presence and the family's anger towards her as someone who took away the child of their family made them ignorant to the fact that "She IS still Virat's wife". If they had acknowledged it first, rather than stamping her as the irresponsible mother who was responsible for their grandchild's death, things would have been different. Sai also did not come and fight for her place, because for her Virat mattered and if he has given her position to other woman, she will not seek it. So everyone was happy in their lala land, thinking All is well. Close their eyes and believe Sai doesnt exist.
Now, imagine Sai was really dead. This things still would have happened. Remember Sonali's dialogue post leap when Pakhi was introduced as Malkin?! She says "NO one listens to anyone". Malkin is there but the subjects are not heard. That is the situation of CN. No one is happy. Everyone is just surviving after sai's departure. The only person who looked happy that day was Patralekha. Later it was revealed that even she was miserable, but definitely more happier than anyone else in that house because she got what she always wanted. Virat's name and some space with him. Anyways, still Karishma would have done what she did today. Raised questions on WHY Sai left. However, if Sai was not present, this day would be ignored and people would have fallen into the same routine of pakhi puja. Pakhi and Virat would have remained in status quo shown post leap where Virat would have kept on assuring her etc. I will not speculate on whether he would have moved on or not. I think this whole move on thing got sped up because of Sai's presence. Otherwise, Pakhi and Virat would have kept on prioritizing Vinu's legs over their honeymoon :) The point is without sai, this day would have come. But nothing would have happened.
However, Sai is back. And everyone is ignoring her. Now they cant! Not only did Karishma pointed out to them why Sai left, she also drawn their attention to the fact that she is still Virat's wife. To live in a society, even in a family you have to answer few things. Especially if you are being idolized in the family for your character. Virat is not only the eldest son of the family but also someone who is considered an ideal son, and brother. So if he can do something like choosing the ex over his wife, others in the family also can do! If no one is correcting what Virat is doing now, ignoring his wife and behave like she deosnt exist, then Mohit also will do the same. Therefore, virat cannot question Karishma or Mohit until he resolves his marital status. Marriage is a whole different ball game. You cant marry anyone and not answer to your first wife. Your first wife is your legal wife, Dharma Patni. Without her permission, the husband cant touch another woman. That is termed as immoral or adultry. Karishma brought the same in front of everyone. She brought attention to the fact that Virat is still Sai's husband. Just because everyone is angry with Sai, doesnt make Pakhi Virat's wife. She is Virat's second wife, whose position is questionable when the first wife is back. I dont know the legalities when the second marriage is consummated. I am talking only about morality here.
Karishma questioned everyone's morality. How can they ignore the first wife who is back!! who has child with Virat. If Virat can chose some one else over his wife, she will also chose her boyfriend over her husband. Everyone is just asking how can a wife leave her husband? Virat is still seeing it from his PoV. How can Sai leave him?!! He was not seeing how his actions caused Sai to leave the house. Karishma showed them the mirror. If the husband ignores a wife, doenst value her then it is good that the wife leaves the house.
Karishma did two important things that will make Chavanese take some action. Mentally and physically. First, they are forced to see Virat as Sai's husband. Not Pakhi's husband. Second, they are forced to understand why Sai left the house in the first place. While the first one will make them stop forcing Virat onto Pakhi, second one will make them retrospect and regret (hopefully). All in all, they will see Sai as Virat's wife not as someone who was responsible for Vinu's death. Because they are all responsible for Vinu's death.
Now no one will dare to talk about Virat-Pakhi as husband and wife in the same breathe. Boundaries are brought into light. If I am correct, the same people who were forcing them to consummate will flinch if Virat touches Pakhi 😆. That is the power of marriage. I somehow think TRP aunties will rejoice. Husband is personal property of wife. :D Now Sai marking her territory with the help of Karishma will bring huge joy to them. I really liked this twist and excited to see how everyone will behave with Pakhi from now on wards. Virat should behave the same...because he never had anything for Pakhi. :) They will all see Sai as Virat's wife and the DIL of the house who really cared for their happiness. Today if Sai was present, would not have let Karishma leave. She would have requested, pleaded and commanded her to stop. She takes that responsibility. Today the so called bahu of the house is in her own pain and agony. Didnt even move a muscle to stop her. Bk and Virat were shut up rightly. Ashwini tried but who heard her voice before!!! Now they will know what they lost! HOPEFULLY
PS: Vihan finally acted. Oh boy and he acted well. Karishma/Sneha is the show stealer. I always wanted Sai to guide Karishma. I hope they will bond now.
