Maybe Akshu has trouble singing now. Remember her singing is a very emotional part of her. When she is feeling down and out she has trouble singing. In the past she use to connect Abhi with her singing. But due to everything it may have died that day she was kicked out of the house. Or she can sing but she simply chooses not to because it brings back all those memories good and bad and it just becomes too painful to bare.

Ya whoever caught that is very observant. I cannot believe no one noticed it in that big happy joint family.
