A good opening day for India as they managed to bowl out the opposition in less than three sessions. Electing to bat first, the Bangladesh openers couldn't give them a strong start, but as a result of a fine knock by Mominul on his Test comeback and few handy contributions by other batters, the hosts managed to finish with a respectable total. Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim played a few enterprising shots and tried to be aggressive, but they couldn't last long against the experience of Indian bowlers. Jaydev Unadkat bowled well on his comeback claiming a couple of wickets, while Umesh and Ashwin showed their experience as they bagged four wickets each. From 213/5 - Bangladesh collapsed and were eventually bundled for 227. In reply, the Indian openers had to survive a handful of overs, which Gill and Rahul eventually did. Rahul's stay was a nervy one where he survived a few close calls, but the Indian openers will look to be positive as they walk out to bat on Day 2. Will Bangladesh take a few early wickets and make this Test interesting, or will we see another solid performance from the Indian batters? Join us tomorrow for the coverage of Day 2 to find that out..
