I think it is all fine yaar, some where we knew its going to be tragic,
And it all makes sense, what he has done was canât be undone or wo bhi ek do mahine mein, usne abhi ek hi month salary to li thi, my point here is fine he was changed man but the fact that what all he has done related to mehak or to any one in his past 25-30yrs is just canât be undone. And I really donât think so death is his punishment for this, uske junoon and unsab se use bas free kardiya because he understood the meaning of life. Wo acha insaan ban raha tha nice but that was not his suffering at all, i mean ye agar saal do saal ka period dikhaya hota that would have been more trustworthy but then saal do saal baba saheb chup na rehte. If he really had to pay for all this then this attack would have made him crippled where he will live with pain.
Not being to intellectual but ending bas thik hai only for baba saheb not for the couple. Ek mahine ya max do mein bhai ladki pighal itna ki conceive bhi karliya is just too much for me.
The whole issue is because script is not that worthy and danish did both parts larger than life that we feel so.
End mein actually kya sense hai, baba saheb gone without suffering much just two months staying silent in his mansion that he realises ki chalo gunnah qubool karo lekin kuch sahunga nai balki ek aur gunnah karke suicide karunga and maroonga, nonsense hai ye.
Shamsher died kyunki baap ko samajh nai aa raha tha what he is doing, and winning his love and knowing that he will become a father just in 1-2months again kya sudhra wo, the only pain he has got is ma ke marte time shakal nai dekhne di ab waha wo uske deeds the ya baap ultimate cruel kuch bhi bol lo.
Mehak ab fir akele rehkar suffer karegi,
Last scene the celebration at marriot theek hai jo marzi ho though, but i would hate if she will take the inheritance. She ideally should not.
The most suffering character is dara, uska gunnah hai chup rehna, pehle baap jo karta raha chup rha, ma ke hospital hone mein apne hi bhai ko na btana ye uski galti hai, and ab vo kya kya ikatha karlega he lost his mother, father and brother both.
Idk somewhere i feel mehak and dara will end up together. I think i have said this before.
As baba ke qubool name se inhone sadak pe aana hai, to dara ki wo wife and saali bhaag jayenge. As a family they will live together.
In all this what I feel is love story itni larger than life ban gayi that everybody feels for shamsher nothing else. It was always about class difference with a backdrop of love story.
We were aware, all thanks to Danish last few weeks mein laga happy ending hi hogi lol.
The only place I really see a lax would be direction and writing. Too many coincidences and parallels. I wish they would have shown a fast forward 2-minute clip of their life moving forward after his first salary and the dinner date. Like how they did in Ishq Hai. And after a couple of months Mehak could get pregnant.
Bhatti nailed the grandeur and got our anxiety levels spiking in that Sheru-Rain assassination scene and the initial episodes got us hooked. Right kind of direction. But he lacked logic at numerous places.
Same goes for Radain. It wouldn't make sense for Mehak to be pregnant so soon, mainly because they were not financially settled. A few months in the future with a promotion would make more sense. Still, he did a good job, better than what I expected.
Tbh I dont see any ending would really work out, either audience wise or script wise. Shamsher and Mehak were doomed, given the circumstances in which they got together and mainly...Baba Sahab. I doubt without killing Shamsher the story would ever move forward. Baba Sahab would not stop. His ego was wayyyy bigger and important than anything else. The man did not stop after his wife died. The only way to get him to realise his all mistakes would be to kill Shamsher.
While I also feel Baba Sahab should have stayed alive and went through all the pain, I do not want him even breathing on Shamsher and Mehak's child.
The show had a tragic vibe to it. No ending would feel satisfactory. We rooted for Shamsher only because of Danish, and if you think about it, only his death would make the viewers feel any kind of pain. Kill Mehak and we would prolly be shocked for a few minutes, but then move on because "Shamsher Zinda Hai".
One thing I disagree is about Shamsher not sudhroing. According to the real world, the timeline is not realistic but the dude changed. The one scene in which he is working at the department store and a customer talks insensitively to him, upar se says ye 50 rupay tum rakh lo made me feel terrible. Having lived his entire life with a diamond spoon, and now being on the other side of the world where people treat you like shit...I can't imagine it happening to myself uff...
Shamsher's pain was losing his mother, working extra hard for an underpaid job where you're treated like shit, not getting a respectable job because of his father's name, falling literally into reality and realising what the real world is. His jolts are more psychological than physical, and those can be worse. The writing in these areas could have been better though. Wasn't bad but there was scope for improvement.
Mehak will take the inheritance, and according to our predictions she uses it to do something empowering for women. That Marriott shoot could be an evening press conference, an inaugural basically. She won't use the money on herself that's for sure.
I have pitied Dara for the longest. Had he become even 2% of how aggressive Shamsher was, then things might have been different. I do think Mehak might move into Nawab Mansion for the sake of her son, since her child is the heir to a huge dynasty and will need all the protection.
At the end of the day, it was, is and will be remembered as an out and out Danish Taimoor show. Remove him from the equation and there would be no numbers, no buzz, nothing. Bad or good, the show has revolved around him. He was convincing as bratty Shamsher, to the extent NONE of us wanted him to end up with Mehak. But when he changed, we were the shippers lol. Going through old clips of the show, there was no way Mehak would get over her anger for Shamsher so quickly, but only Danish made it possible.
Its been trending constantly, people around me are talking about it, in fact the other day one of my building staff was listening to the OST on their mobile. Given the kind of stepchild treatment he gets from the industry, critiques and pseudo-intellectuals, I am very happy this show did exceptionally well.
