No one is always completely honest and it would be both unwise as well as unreasonable to expect that. What actually matters is the intention behind the lie and its consequences. A harmless lie told to spare someone's feelings, to diffuse the situation or to keep something a surprise cannot be treated the same as one told with ill-intent.

Usually if a person suddenly becomes unable to share information for fear of being judged or misunderstood then it is a result of some incident(s) or the actions of the other person. In this case, it started off with fear of being looked down upon and later of the reaction to things even when she did not believe she was doing anything wrong.

Even if we consider Shiva justified in believing her responsible for all the things he accused her of but it still doesn't change the fact that he completely turns a blind eye to even the possibility that she might be innocent. He doesn't want to listen to a word that goes against his beliefs and that confuses me. Should he not wish it to be false?

He neither shares his concerns with her, rather chooses to gets angry and make that known to her and everyone around, nor tries to fix whatever problem he thinks they are facing. Always jumping to the worst possible conclusion without much help does sometimes beg the question - just what kind of a person does he actually believe she is.
