As far as i have seen and heard. Tabu is the main actress in such a strong role Drishyam. It was weird since it is not your typical male or female-lead movie. You can say there are three leads. Akshay, Tabu, and Ajay. Ajay is the main protagonist. But the actress with the strongest role in Drishyam was Tabu.

Filmfare slotted her and nominated her for supporting. She did win tho.

Tabu deserves to win. Alia doing well isn't too unexpected if you don't believe the social media bubble, but Tabu having a breakout year after so long is certainly something to award. I won't be too torn up if Alia wins for Gangu though.

The female actresses that had a great year professionally are Alia, Tabu, Samantha, and you could put Kiara in on a technicality. All should be proud honestly, it has not been an easy year for actresses.

Tripti is good but she's just breaking out. Qala doesn't have a ton of views compared to everything else. She won't win but she'll certainly get her name out.

As long she doesn't win the national award she can win all these fake awards I don't care.

How do they make these decisions? Might as well say you have performed well in a box office success but we prefer to give Best actress popular to someone else.

Right now the most best actor awards are for 8 a piece for Srk and Dilip kumar. I always thought Srk would pass him, I don’t think anymore.

Who has the most connections is also who is the most powerful and influential person at the time. Hrithik was bigger in the first 9 years of his career. SRK is also not as influential anymore. Again they need the biggest celebrities as Ajay Devgan described to host and perform at these functions. In order to do that they must compromise on the integrity of these awards. It is his reason for not attending award functions. 😃
