I didn't follow the story much, just thr reviews ..I kind of disagree that redemption is not possible , n apology regret and guilt can't wash away the sins..but yeah in shamshers case redemption is too farfetched..his redemption wasn't convincing to me ..just bec he realized that his father is behjnd the attempt to murders there was a sudden change etc etc . He was acting just like his father , may be worse , in his youth so what was that about ? Did love transform him? Don't think so..if love had to transform him he would have changed the moment he set his eyes on mehak. He wouldn't have married her forcefully ..so it's not abt love or transformation ..it was just a stupid conflict between a father and son who r totally alike , but as the story has it , the son has some kind of late realisation ..
So ultimately like all other shows , this one will shift all the blame on the parents , make shamsher the hero , mehak will raise another shamsher who is sanskari and not badtameez. That's the happy ending ..the show was crap from beginning to end. Just my pov.
Whose khudgarzi it was ? If babasaheb accepted mehak the first day n didn't try to kill her, shamsher will still be the arrogant brute.
Danish obviously is a good actor , he must try diff roles .
see, my point of view is that people have a misplaced view about redemption. it does not mean your past sins get washed away and you don't have to face any consequences. say, a crime occured and the criminal felt guilty and admitted his guilt in court. now, will the judge say, "okay because you are feeling guilty, I will not punish you?" -- absolutely not! the criminal will still have to pay the sentence for the crime. the difference is he is now a human and has a chance to live a different life after the sentence. he might get a reduced sentence instead of the full harsh penalty. so that is redemption.
similarly, shamsher had to pay the price. the fact that it was such a steep price in the form of his life showed that his arc was way too extreme. the moment the driver died, it was inevitable that there would be miserable consequences for all involved because that driver was innocent. why should a family suffer for some idiot's love sickness?
and yes, shamsher's reason for redemption felt a bit iffy to me as well. it almost felt like ego at some stages -- was he just upset that his dad would do something so bad to mehak? or maybe he needed to learn what it was like to be at the other side when someone is unfairly harassing you. either way, the performances were strong but the story itself was a bit iffy.
