I believe the biggest issue with Shiva's character is the inability to understand the effect his behaviour has on others. He truly doesn't seem to realise the damage he causes and this leads to him thinking others are overreacting. He is unable to see their side of things and hence lacks compassion, consideration or sensitivity in dealing with them. He fails to remember the other person also feels pain & hurt and has their own insecurities & demons to battle.

He needs to introspect and think if he would find it acceptable for his sister or daughter to be treated the way he and his family treat his wife. Would he find it in himself to forgive them and move on as easily as he expects Raavi to every single time.

Also, if he is unwilling to work on his issues (especially anger and trust), he shouldn't expect others to bear the burden of them either.

Unfortunately, this will probably not be tackled in the show and will merely remain as food for thought for those of us here.
