How can he feel "in debt"towards the person who committed actual crimes and fraud to get herself impregnated and snatched Sai's baby from her.

How can he feel "in debt" towards the person who cheated his brother lifelong and was always harboring immoral intentions.

Basically he doesn't care about WHY Sai left. Neither does he have any interest in learning about his daughters childhood.

The only thing he may feel "in debt" about is her help to adopt Vinu but that itself was unecessary since it was a made up rule. He could have figured out something 9n his own if he wanted but didn't do so.
