I also dont believe Virat is hiding his love for Sai. It is all over the place. From the time he saw her post leap, he was not at peace. Sai has tendency to hide her love. She is doing a fine job at it. But I think Virat got an inkling. Ideally he has to win her back, but the strange equations are putting him in back foot

This is an interesting outlook but when you say V sees P as just a friend or family member how is that possible? When so many times p herself confessed to him she thought of him as more than friends there was the cafe incident and several other times

So he should've know p doesn't think of him as a friend but much more no?

Perception of truth

To understand the current episodes of Ghum, one need to go back to the pre leap days, the facades are off, the thing is each character has its own perception of truth and that changes from person to person and if one see it without the character bias, then it all make sense.......

For Sai the truth is Virat chose Pakhi above her and her son that day and that truth got concrete with them being husband wife post her leaving, her worst fear came true and she is leaving her worst fear, that's where the outbursts are coming, for her all the love she had for him and all the memories seemed farce.......

For Virat the truth is he chose to do what his family told him that day, the one who he got bailed out was no one but just a mere family member for him but Sai left him, even after all the love between them, Virat too is leaving his worst fear of Sai leaving him, her death news did gave him some repentance, infact he was at the calm and although he was just living a life without being alive, there was sense of peace in his heart and mind during that phase because of the blissful memories of years spent with Sai, his love was fulfilled as it seemed to him but when she reappear the fear actually came true that she did left him and didn't return all these years, the love, the memories alll seemed farce to him and the fact that she was alive and didn't consider him enough to let him know, shook him from inside and the Savi truth add more fuel to that fire and the volcano that erupt in his heart turned in the aggression we are seeing......

Both Sai and Virat are going through the heartbreak and betrayal of their beloved and are facing and living their worst fears in love, For Sai, it was Pakhi and for Virat, it was her leaving him, the clouds of misunderstanding will only get cleared when they see the perception of truth from the another person's lens, till then this will continue, Sai need to see that day from Virat's eyes and Virat from Sai's eyes, although I feel Virat is more at wrong, the thing is they both have ocean of love for each other but it's the compatibility and communication they lack, the biggest setback in their relationship is lack of communication, the day they will learn this art there will be no coming back for them.....

Regarding Pakhi too, both Sai and Virat had different version of truth, for Sai, Pakhi was Virat's lover, Sai always had that guilt that she came between Pakhi and Virat and for Virat, the chapter of Pakhi was long forgotten and he always saw her as his friend, his brother's wife and a family member, all the actions and interference of Pakhi in Sairat's marital life, Sai saw as an interference of jilted lover whereas Virat saw as an concern of a family member and a dear friend, that's where the miscommunication was and it did eat their relationship.........

Even now, they have different truth regarding Pakhi, for Sai, Pakhi is Virat's that lover whom he was always willing to unite and after her supposed death he unite with her, she considers herself to be a thorn whom Virat quickly got over after she left and for Virat, Pakhi is that family member and a friend who did wrong but had repentance and came to their help when needed the most......see for Virat and CN, Patralekha had repentance of her actions, she had her life ahead yet she sacrificed that life and tied knot with Virat in a loveless marriage so that Virat can adopt a child as per their pov...... that's the reason he is so grateful to her and respects her.......but what he doesn't see is she always wanted him, she didn't made any sacrifice, infact she got what she desired all along...........

Also, it is strongly established in the episodes that SAI AND VIRAT ARE NOT OVER EACH OTHER, audience expects them to talk and behave with each other softly and respectfully but how can they, when they are still burning in the love, till the time they have this unresolved issues and feelings they cannot be respectful to each other because they both held other one responsible for the breaking of their marriage, for Virat, it is Sai and For Sai, it is Virat, who is responsible to break something which was so precious and dear to them, one expects this maturity and respect from exes when they are over each other, which is not the case here, we can draw the parallel, Virat was always respectful to Pakhi after her marriage with Sam coz he was over her, whereas Pakhi always threw accusations and dirt at him because she was still burning in love that time.......Love is very strong emotion, it do take away the sense of right and wrong when a person is in extreme love to the point that he/she can even harm his/her lover in that emotion........

Also this is the reason why Virat deny working with Sai, it has nothing to do with Pakhi's insecurity but with his own emotions, he know he will lose the grip of his heart and his already week heart is not ready for another heartbreak, regarding Pakhi, he never understood Sai's insecurity because same the difference of truth, for him she was a friend and a family member, so he never got that reason that why Pakhi can be Sai's insecurity.........

PS: this is just a analysis post and no where I'm supporting the character traits irl but for me it's fiction so will take it as that......

That is exactly what Ghum plot is on paper but their execution is all over the show.

Everything you said would have made senseif PL’a intentions were hidden n Virat maintained distance from her post leap n in marriage.

He is well aware. By now PL has officially straight up told him that she loved him n wants more than friendship with him (cafe, when Sai exposed post surrogacy n on Virakhi anniversary). And countless indirect when she barged in between him n Sai n questioned his closeness with her despite them being married.

Despite that if Virat plays naive that Oh we r just friend its very cheap n yeda ban ke peda khane wala act. 😂

They have to show that Virat made poor choice that day. Choosing PL over Sai was worst move not only because his happiness but they did not deserve to be loved over his wife who was nothing but loving n loyal to him. They should show that PL plotted whole time and his family that he thought did favor on Sai n accepted her, hates her so much that they wont mind separating him from his daughter either.

But their execution is only focusing on Virakhi. In between Sai comes in when they need TRP boost but otherwise everything is about these two. So I don’t expect they will show anything sensible and like Shruti track, mess of months will be wounded up in two episodes with superficial dialogues.

I checked the definition of gaslighting for getting clarity.

It goes like this:

I didn't find V's behaviour odd. Probably because I was expecting. What I found wrong was his physical approach using his masculine aggression but whatever he told P was not wrong. In my opinion.

Sai has a convo with imaginary V and she is extremally hurt for being called a teesri. So does that mean she was still harbouring some hope? Feelings we knew she had. But hope too? Is that why she never told Saavi about V? 😔

Khair... I had no issue for the teesra yesterday. As I had mentioned, it was by makers and not V. Sai was getting too sympathetic to P inspite of clearly understanding what P wanted.

Forget her own rights... but why should Sai compromise on what is Saavi's legal right? As her mother and an adult, shouldnt she keep Saavi's best interest in priority for her decisions?

Anyway, I digress. Sai tells imaginary V that she is not to be trifled with and she will retaliate. She is not Chavans ka punching bag. Good... now stay firm on it. Don't go weak at the first sign.

VP come back and V locks the room with P. She is terrified. V is proper menacing. His physicality in the entire scene is terrifying. I myself felt fearful. NB did good.

What V did with his masculinity is wrong, but what he said was not.

Now I am not condoning what he did... but purely from the post leap scenario and whatever she told him in the past few episodes and whatever he saw in the cafe.... he is not wrong in what he said.

P ticks him off by calling Saavi a problem. V is irritated with the idea of saazish. So he is operating from the conditions laid down for the marriage. "tumhari khushi main hi meri khushi hai". But clearly P is not happy. V has finally caught that. He tells her she made him believe that he was wrong in not consulting her for Vinu's admission. She manipulated him into thinking that he was wrong, he apologized and even then she was not convinced so she went behind his back and did planning with Sai.

If I really look at this Moor, during the bum talk, P was the one who offered to respect his feelings. She clearly wanted to help and my any means give him happiness. And the marriage was just that. V's happiness. Now if she orchestrated it for getting married or she found hope as time passed is her side of the story. V is still at that understanding between them

P lies.... lies through her teeth. She tells him I have no problem with Saavi.

Which is wrong... utterly wrong. V seems to have heard everything and she has the gall to lie to him on his face. And if what she is saying (that she didn't want to separate V and Saavi) is what she feels is right, then its more horrible.... because then it means her sole problem is Sai and not Saavi.... so she is fine as long as V has only Saavi but not Sai... this is totally opposite to what she told Sai. She is fine separating Sai and Saavi then!

And what's the guarantee that she will behave nicely with Saavi in Sai's absence?

Exactly. She was hating the preference Savi was getting when she came to CN. What would she do in Sai or V's absence. She is capable of venting her anger and insecurity on a child. She is a woman who used a baby for her selfish plans

V questions her on Vinu... and taunts that she claims all credit of Vinu's goodness/progress for herself.

P makes a startling point... "sab kuch jaante hue bhi maine tumse shaadi ki?".... hello?????

P was dying to marry him since day one... she jumped on that chance... she has been wanting rights on him... and what is sab kuch jaante hue? did she forget her own crimes??? Sure V was a party.... but this dialogue makes it seem like she was an honest party and V was a criminal.

V throws the doglapan at her.

V has high expectations from her. Why???? I am not sure!!!! He has forgiven her for her crimes. So she is the mahaan murat who sacrificed ... but now that she is going against him, he is seeing the truth. That she cares for only her happiness and nothing about anyone else.

This is what I'm not able to understand. How can he forgive and trust her and what she did?

V warns her that he wont consult anyone for his kids. he doesn't care about anyone (tumhe aur kisi aur ko/Sai)

He threatens her that she cant separate V and Saavi now... and he will not think twice before breaking their relationship. Saavi trumps everything.

BK hears everything from outside the door. I found BK very weird today. She didn't really console P... rather taunted her. and warned her.

I'm waiting for Savi's reveal. I really want this BK to flip. She is the major force behind P. Once she shifts, rest are all spectators or instigators. But none can powerful

P tells the same thing to BK. Trust is all they had in their marriage. No other expectations are to be kept. So if she knew this, who is wrong and who is right? Who is exactly the abuser and who is the victim?

Trust was the key player in today's episode. Subtly and prominently

Ash-Vinu scene is irrelevant.

Sai comes to CN and the precap wala scene happens. Absolutely loved everything she said.

Sai challenges V to tell the truth to Saavi and also explain why he left her mother for teesra.

Here's where I felt the teesra was by makers and not V. Like the Jags CA he didn't intend to call her teesri. His shock at hearing it and then looking at P makes him seem to realize how Sai received it.

Sai questions V if he has himmat to break Saavi's heart by explaining all this to her. Camera pans on P as that is her inherent fear. V doesn't have an answer.

Sai tells him that she herself had once planned to leave Nagpur but now that Saavi has started liking Nagpur and has adjusted well, she will keep Saavi's wishes on preference. Will think only about her family. Saavi and herself.

Sai restricts the visitation rights for V. Warns that if anyone misbehaves with Saavi, he will lose them as well.

Sai declares she wont leave... V is happy. She turns and tells P that she will live in Nagpur with Saavi.

The teesra comes back again... Sai tells him to resolve their matters on their own and not involve her.

Sai tells V that she wont mind going for solo custody and V will lose whatever he has now. V seemed happy at the idea of custody. (my guess is he is happy as it means he can officially claim Saavi)

Also warns V to behave with her, not to show any haq or else she will respond like she would do to any road side gunda.

V blames P again for inciting all this. Everything was going smoothly and he was happy had it not been for her meeting with Sai. Now that Sai has sunaoed him and restricted him, P can celebrate.

At night, P tries to talk to V and tries the biwi card once again. V mentions that he will remember the pain Biwi gave him.

Precap is DIG offering a job in police dept to Sai because she and V managed to save many lives and wonders if V is comfortable working with Sai, P is not happy.

DIG is the like modern day cupid God.

P proposes and DIG God disposes.

Kahan P chahti thi ki Sai chali jaaye. Sai chahti thi ki V sirf weekend pe mile.

Ab DIG is ensuring to get the worth of his investment. Sia must have taken money from him for the gold bracelet. DIG is making sure the investment is fruitful.

Anyway, DCP to pakka lega offer... weekdays pe he will meet his colleague ki beti and weekends pe he will go meet her as Virat Saavi Joshi. 🤣

And as you rightly said it’s all confusing. From yesterday to today it feels like a puzzle which doesn’t fit. I am stuck with few dialogues and scenes and can’t come to understand them. See if you can help.

P says to V, I care only for your happiness and hence inspite of knowing everything I married you. He retorts saying oh so now you will remind me that I have Vinayak because of you.

The marriage was something that they mutually agreed upon. With conditions. Before they married P clearly said she knows where he stands with feelings and she understands what their marriage entails. Now though V does not know about her convo with Ashwini and Ninad but this is the 2nd time she is bringing up her contribution through Vinu. Something which she meant as a penance and her way of giving happiness to the people she hurt and destroyed, she is now counting out her favours. How does that sound? As far as meeting Vinu is concerned she did no favour as even she met Vinu by coincidence herself.

The teesri referred both the times by Sai. Once to Pakhi and once to herself.

He did not realise the impact of the word "Teesri". He had not meant it for Sai and he didn't expect her to interpret it that way. So when he first hears it, he realises what his words did. He is realises the connection Sai is making with that word and also the story she has about him and P. So that reaction was realisation and then how P has taken it.

The later reference, he feels offended, hurt and helpless. He wanted to clear things but he is not able to. And can just say this in his mind how Sai has misunderstood him

Had Virat not reached there Sai might have decided to leave, so it’s a technically Virat who stopped Sai.

Also the question is has he heard the entire conversation and if yes then why did he keep on asking P. Was it to fish out things from her?

Yes. That is precisely why he dealt with Sai first. Because she was priority and she has her own mind and will not wait for his permission. She will act upon het decision. He knows P can wait. She is not going anywhere. If you have read Moor's analysis for sunday episode, she has explained V's counters against each of P's arguments so well. It is clear that V heard all the conversation and he responded to each of the excuses/explanations P gave to Sai to leave Nagpur.

That is what made him more angry. He knows she was lying. he used the word "Saazish" . Which was exactly what she was doing while she looked shocked at his words.

I believe he doesn't want to take the lid off her face just yet. For whatever reasons.

Also Sai used Virat’s threat to challenge him, which he didn’t take then why give the threat in the first place.

That was his best bet then. He knows Sai can only be convinced through Savi. With how things had gone out of control, he had to act upon it immediately. So he used the threat. He never expected Sai to come back to him with the same threat. He had used this before when he visited Sai's house at night. So he thought maybe she will give in again
