One of the reasons I actually love to participate in the contests on this forum is that the entries are put to vote anonymously 😂

During Write the Bite, I would look at the other entries and go, 'Oh. And then there's my entry.' XD

If one's own entries look comparatively bad, that's first-hand embarrassment.

"Second-hand embarrassment" means that you sympathize with your friends for writing stories not as good as yours, right?

Eloquent, elegant, insightful, complex ... I will try to recognize your entries. It will be a challenge without your habitual "sorry if I offended anyone" preamble.

I also like to see how everyone votes, although I rarely agree with anyone else's taste.
