If Shiv is only getting favours because his friends and boss are favorites of Bigg Boss, then why the makers edited out the part of him picking up the chair and going to throw it on Shalin?

Why they also edited out any conversation of other contestants even mentioning it? Because its not possible that nobody in the house had not talked about what Shiv did.

This looks like a genuine effort from the makers to protect Shiv's image. If he was just a sacrificial lamb for Bigg Boss, they would've gladly showed it in the episode, along with other contestants talking about it. But they're doing heavy editing to make it seem like Shiv never did anything wrong.

If Stan deserves punishment for trying to hit Shalin with a vase, then Shiv did pretty much the same thing, but he was neither reprimanded nor punished.
