I am not a fan of anyone, but something else that bothered me is the dynamic between what the prince is allowed to and what the princess is allowed to. The prince is flirting with all the females in the house while the princess needs to ask for permission to talk to the males. Janani was talking with Kathir or Amudhavanan and someone (maybe ADK) came and told that the princes is talking with the help (Kathiravan or Amudhavanan) and the King said to his queen that she should reprimand her, and the Queen said that she would do that, if he reprimanded the prince, but he wouldnt do that because it was fine or something like that....it just didnt sit well with me, reproducing such things in a show watched by all doesnt sit well with me, considering how hard Kamal went on Dhanalaksmi for saving her teams money safely...

I did not like the whole royal family characters and the way they enacted them.

Robert, ADK, and Azeem are all boomer uncles. No respect for women and a patriarchal mindset. Vikraman speaks about equality, but I saw a clip on how he told Janany to sit since she was eclipsing his camera presence. Expected more from Rachita but she is pathetic in this task as well. 🤢

BB is more like a warning show telling the audience exactly what they should not be doing.

The salt issue, it was an entertaining idea that took a whole other turn as Robert overreacted and brougth some seriousness to it and later Vikram overreacted with the spit issue, for once this didnt escalate (in the beginning) by Azeem but Robert and Shivin. My whole issue with this is more on why Azeem is taking up so much space, why arent the king and his family aloud to talk and what was the need for shutting down Janany when she was trying to talk and saying I am not talking to you....doesnt the princess have a word of influence. I feel Azeem made this task all about him, he wants to dominate and cant handle it when others come with their input.

Mani character when it was introduced it was stated in task itself that Prince will be a flirt and will go on flirting with all ladies over there

But i dont think they explicitly provided how illavarasi was supposed to behave but yesterday she asked to Kathir and Ram to sing song for her.

Since kavalar position in society is above sevakar ram wasnt reprimanded but Kathir was given punishment

The thing is Azeem already makes everything about himself and takes up screen space but these housemates hyperfocused on Azeem on that salt issue and gave him even more screen time! These housemates are seriously so dumb. The best way to deal with Azeem is to ignore him.

The difference between princess and prince, I think that's because that's how it really was back then. Princes usually had more freedom and princesses led a more restrictive life. The dynamics are true to the time period of the play.

That might be the perception, but we do also have characters from ex Ponniyin Selvan, Vikings etc that doesn’t reproduce ancient gender stereotypes….

and practically it really doesn’t give much scope for Janani or Rachita for that matter or just many of the servants (unless they have a character trait they can use as Myna) I guess my main problem with such a task is that it is the same people that get the most space and week after week, we will se the same persons be nominated for BP

Contestants not at all suspecting Azeem and Rachita.Its gonna be shocker to them when they gonna know that Kathir was working for them
