Why are Vicky movies being dumped on OTT? Has he become an OTT star? - Page 3

I think OTT, mostly Netflix and Amazon Prime, have a more global reach as well. They don't play Bollywood films in all cinemas... but every household has Netflix.

Vicky is not some big star to rely on huge numbers and profits. He is an okay actor but not bankable. He is more known to ppl now for being Katrina's husband.

I guess this is more of a safer route for producers, they make a profit this way whereas releasing in theatres there is a fear of a loss

Damn right and also vicky has the face of an OTT actor..... Vicky does NOT look like a movie star from any angle!

I think Vicky can give big hits in theatre if the content is also very good like URI. URI didn't have any big starcast n Vicky was not known because of katrina at that time

Ans: He simply can't CONSISTENTLY do Shahid, Ranbir, Ranveer and Hrithik numbers.

A real MALE STAR in Bollywood, has to be able to carry at least 1 BLOCKBUSTER or SUPERHIT movie ON THEIR OWN every 3-4 years. Preferably every 3 years. Anything less than that isn't worth it. 👎🏼

Vicky reminds me a middle class guy looking for a stable career. All the movies releasing on OTT reminds me of same thing.
