Or no kid was ever born. She got a random kid from nowhere and calls the kid Nick's child.

Yes the dark secret is very much Sonick's child that Pallavi knows about, Nick doesn't. If no new cast is being added, makers may first lead us on to believe that Gagan is Sonick's kid, but it would be Badal. As story is disjoint, makers will comfortably ignore the "dahi-wada" thing.

In the end, it would be revealed nothing happened between Sonick and Badal is Sonali-Mahesh's kid. And SMC killed Mahesh.
