As for Arya, though her family has been wronged, she herself has to be blamed for her miseries,,it's good that she got a reality check, she was living in her delusional world where she thought that Sarang loved her too..She mistook bachpan ke dost for jawani ke humsafar...Sarang never reciprocated her feelings nor gave her any signals, it was Papya who proposed her once but she laughed it off .
Sarang gave Arya plenty of signals.
First, when he was blindsided by the announcement that he must marry her, he didn't say no.
Second, when she hugged him, he didn't reject her.
Third, when she found him on his knees as if practising a proposal, he didn't tell her it wasn't for her.
Fourth, when he sent Papya with a "Love You" note and she read it, he didn't tell her it wasn't for her.
Fifth, he allowed her to put the ring on his finger.
Did I miss any more signals?
I agree that it's good that Arya knows the truth now. But her deception is not her own fault in any way. It was entirely Sarang's responsibility to speak up before the guests arrived for the sākharapuḍā. Arya didn't deserve to be hurt and humiliated like this, and Sarang failed as a friend.
I do sympathize with Sarang because he is financially dependent on his father, who has probably beaten him with a stick before. It wasn't an easy decision to refuse the arranged marriage. I wish the show had been explicit about Sarang's lack of means and his fear. Instead of asking Arya to slow down for his sake, his focus was on whether Mukta loves him too.
